Jainism existed and will exist . The main cause of decline of Jainism is that its not easy to be jain so people choose easy path and created several religions. And today they think Jainism is just a religion like any other religion.

Jainism is the oldest religion in the world, based on the teachings of Ahimsa(Non-Violence) or reverence for all living beings.
There is NO creator .The universe is eternal and the earth we live in , is just a small spec in comparison . Non-Violence, Truth, Celibacy, Non-Stealing, Non-Possessiveness are few of the main beliefs. The Jain cuisine is completely vegetarian and also excludes underground vegetables such as potato, garlic, onion etc, to prevent injuring small insects and microorganisms, and also to prevent the entire plant getting uprooted and killed. There are about 4 million Jains in the world. Their aim is to achieve liberation of the soul (becoming God themselves ) by not being born again in another body. Jains believe this can be achieved through a life devoted to non-violence,compassion and the rejection of possessions. It does NOT derive from Hinduism, Budhism or any other faiths. It’s always been there since time (forever). Beside the 24 Thirthankers (this is the 5th Era) , 608 souls achieve Moksh every 6 months. They are all Gods - They achieve eternal peace and can know the past ,present and future if they want to - but they have no desire to.
Diksha (renouncing the world) should only be taken when one has full understanding of Jainism and has decided to renounce the world. You do not achieve Moksh by doing such rituals, but it is important to gain true knowledge by studying and understanding Jainism .

Factual correction - - Ashoka did not kill his father. There is absolutely no record of that. He was away while his father died and he was crowned king 4 years later as he won and took the kingdom from his brother.
Do you know the reason of his death? Some references cite that Bindusara died after being tricked into a pit of burning charcoal by Ashoka's well-wisher Radhagupta. And its believed that it was planned by him. There is enough evidence cited that Ashoka got his brothers killed as well.

Many factual errors. The ultimate decline of Buddhism was Islamic conquest and Buddhist inability to fight the Islamism, Hinduism had only partially finished and assimilated many of them and their teachings into Hinduism but the Islamist finished them. Indians need to learn the lesson of Buddhist decline in India well. Remember that Buddhism flourished in places which were not conquered or assimilated by Islam e.g. China, Japan etc.

Jaininsm and Buddha taught lay people about "Dharma" and its significance in the life. Hindu as a open culture take the concept and enhance further in day to day life. Again "Dharma" text was originated from Hindu text book only but not sure whether it was went down to Jain and buddha culture or vice versa.

The entire Planet Earth is known as Bharat Kshetra because Adinath's [Rushabh's] son Bharat ruled the entire world. He conquered all 7 continents.
