I used to live in Thailand in 2016 and the old king's death was a HUGE deal. He was very involved and earned the love of his people; lot of the grief was anxiety over what would happen with the current king. It's fascinating how many of my Thai friends used to be respectfully quiet, but are very open about how they feel now.

I used to be friends with a Thai woman. At one point our conversations became political and she explained to me that the old king was wise and honorable but his son is a decadent thug. Now I understand what she meant.

Excellent and very informative video. I have visited Thailand many times and have Thai friends. None of them are very impressed by the current king. But, of course, it is forbidden to criticize the royal family in Thailand. Rama X is a feeble successor to his very much loved and respected father, King Bumiphol.

His father was a brilliant, and crucial ruler, as a spiritual leader of Thailand he often influenced the political landscape at precisely the most critical moments. As others have said before me, that nation worried over the all-but inescapable fact that this would be their new King once the old King passed on. They do have a dream of a new ruler, but it isn't this man, or even a man. There is one worthy of the position, but we can only hope she ever gains the chance to fulfill it.

I think I was at the mall the day that one photo was taken. It’s crazy that someone of his standing runs around in crop tops, sleeps around and throws parties. We got a lot of unsavory characters running around the greater Munich area, greatly benefiting from the rule of law we have, but as long as they bring in enough money nobody is going to intervene.

I have not seen the whole video but I am happy that someone abroad is talking about it, as soon as you speak ill of the king (speaking of truth) you are denounced or even arrested, the old king despite being loved by the people also did bad things, very much people in Thailand know nothing about these things because the media don't talk about it, only good news, everyone is blacked out and censored in Thailand and there are still people who continue to worship him as if he were a deity.

My only issue with him is the jailing of his critics, but aside from that it's a kingdom and people need to either accept that or revolt to make it a Republic. As long as it's a kingdom, this kind of behavior is not really unexpected. There's a reason it's called "Living like a King" and not "Living like a President".

Just as any government does. Steals the citizens money through taxation, and then spends it as they see fit. The people have no say in how tax dollars are spent. If you do not pay, they will find you and take all your possessions and lock you in a cell. Yet, people will tell you taxation isn’t theft. If it’s not, why not make it an opt in donation system? It’s simple, Nobody would willingly give the government money, so they have to enforce taxation through threats of violence, which the government has a monopoly on. A legalized new age mafia that breaks your leg, gives you a crutch, and then says “hey aren’t you glad the government is here to help?!”
