Rita Petro is a well-known poet, researcher and publisher, winner of the "Lumo Skëndo" award for the publication of the book of poems "Vrima".
She is among the most prominent poets in the cultivation of poetry with erotic notes, breaking taboos with the power of her verse.
Rita Petro (Rita Filipi) was born in 1962 and graduated in Albanian language and literature at the University of Tirana in 1980-84. Immediately after her studies, she started working in the publishing industry. In 1993, she completed her postgraduate studies at the University of Athens.
