By far by favorite would be Vecna. Look at the multitude of accents in colors. Love the fact you weren't all up to date with the set, for a change. My favorite reviewchannel. Keep making them Theo.
The Horned Devil and the Hellwasp were definitely the coolest looking minis of the set. And the Chain Devil was giving me MK Scorpion vibes. "GET OVER HERE!"
I absolutely love the Tasha miniature the most! It’s such a simple, clean design that can be used as a pc too! We don’t have enough witch miniatures and Tasha fills that void!!
The Arch Lich Vecna takes the cake for me. I love the translucency with the spell effects! Can’t wait to get my hands on him to terrify my players! Plight of the forever DM. LOL ❤😂 Great video as always! 🎉
Tossing my hat into the ring for the raffle! Loved the Blazebear mini it looks all sorts of narly! Thank you for doing these love to see what the upcoming sets might have in them up close and personal!
Seems like a good pull of minis, all of the Devils looked good, nice to see some more commoners, the Vecna and Hell Wasp were great. The only minis I wasn't thrilled with were the Bear, Moon Guardian and Spyder.
The Blaze bear had my curiousity, but the angry commoners got my attention. They look like Wizkids asked Tim Burton to design some NPC's and he threw in an obligatory Winona Ryder/Helena Bonham Carter character with sharp color contrast for good measure.
Without a doubt 13:21 The Blazebear for sure! I’m running a campaign where a giant necrotic enchantment has hit the continent corrupting and bring the dead back to life. This blazebear would make for an amazing wilderness zombie animal encounter since there isn’t a lot of undead animals
I like the fact that you had a devil in almost every box. My campaigns, even when I try to steer clear of devils and demons, always seem to go back to them somehow. I'm sad too, cause I left my bag with all my flip maps and my favorite sets of dice, and the bearded devil mini that has been "helping" the party at work, and it's since disappeared. So, I may have to get a few boxes, or just wait for after market, and get a few of these devils.
I love the Worg mini for quite a few reasons - I like goblins and mounted figures, it's really well sculpted AND it reminds me of the classic Snig Worg Rider from the old D&D Miniatures line. I'd love to collect a bunch of these.
My favorite was the Hell Wasp. It is a very good miniature. I am also liking the Worg and Goblin Rider miniature for second place. With all of those fiends this just might be a good case to pickup. Thanks for the review.
Thank you for your videos! I've been watching you for many years. It's a pity that the number of subscribers is not growing. You have quality content. I liked the Vecna miniature. I think everyone would like it for their collection. Although, the wasp and the bear are also good.
Thank you! I’m not too pressed about the subscribers. As long as my content is helpful and I enjoy making it. I know I could do more click baity material, but it just doesn’t interest me much. But I’m aiming to make more of the longer form videos I think most of you enjoy! Thank you!
It is hard to pick between the Star Angler and Hell Wasp as a favorite, they are both so great. Impressed more by this set than the 50th anniversary set for sure.
I’m running a fairly modified version of Eve of Ruin to end a 7 year campaign that was always going to have Vecna as the BBEG, so that Vecna mini is a must for me! Love the different color magic translucent elements on it!
My favorite mini of the sett is Lady alustriel… I just love iconic characters like Tasha, Vecna, Mordekainen… but alustriel gives me major high level wizard with that touch of delicacy, and that unicorn staff way too cool. From the ones you unboxed I’ll say Vecna for how epic it looks or the kuo toas, having a full war band of them will look so cool in a battle map.
This is an easy one, Its the Hellwasp! That is one cool mini. Though its great having additional demons and devils. I'm also excited about the additional Koa Toa.
My favorite mini that you unboxed is Vecna. Mostly because he’s the big bad and I’m running this module for my friends. I’ve heavily rewritten the module to make it less sucky😂. In the entire set, Tasha is my favorite mini. But she’s pretty rare so I doubt I’ll get her any time soon😂
I am so here for the worg. We are starved for goblins riding other monsters, and worgs are the ones most commonly associated with them. A handful of those are going to go beautifully in my monster horde!
I already have the Kuo-Toa Warband. I don't mind the repeat at all, especially since the paint scheme is slightly different, and it's good to have that variety given the fact that they are typically encountered en masse.
There definitely was a theme here with devils, angry commoners, kua toas and skeletons. I think the biggest people who benefit are curse of Strahd, underdark and descent into avernus. Luckily I run two of those so I might consider this box set 😁
I looove the hellwasp - it;s such a unique mini and versatile in that it can just be used as a giant bug if i need one, otherwise the spine devils are great!
It's a pretty good set, i've gotton 2 boosters myself and got Alustriel, Kas disguised as Mordenkainen and an Ice Devil, wich is my fave of this set so far. Paint job is up a bit, wich is also cool. Thanks for the vid!
Thanks for the review as always! Top tier set for me, will be buying the usual case. Love the Vecna campaign, some fantastic set pieces I know my players are going to love. Glad they don’t frequently do adventures 11+, they know their system breaks down at the higher levels - Not as much as Pathfinder, but still you can see these systems function best in the mid-levels. Hell Wasp for the win here.
Lots of great minis. My favorites were the Hellwasp and the Star Angler. Definitely the most unique. Unfortunately this was a missed opportunity since many of the monsters in this set don't appear in the adventure.
I liked the Angry Commoner minis and the Skeletons. The Worg is Awesome. The biggest disappointment is Vecna. The face sculpting and paint job is a bit rough. With such a classic and infamous character, I would have thought that Vecna would be more detailed and scary looking. Love the channel and reviews of minis. It helps when I'm making mini purchases.
I gotta say it’s a tie between Vecna and the Ice Demon for me. Reason being that Vecna has a lot of fun colors but the Ice Devil’s paint job, under the lights you have, look sooooo good on that sculpt. It’s not the most intricately detailed mini but that paint job just really accentuates those details.
Great review as always! In this case, you are not losing out on much by not having read the adventure, as most of the minis have nothing to do with it, apart from some appearing on artwork. Given that you start the adventure at level 11 - and get to 20 by the time you face Vecna - it is rather a waste that half this set are Angry Commoners, Skeletons and Kuo-Toa... The latter two do not even appear in the adventure, the skellies are just based on a Kas vs. Vecna artwork. And no, not a single Kuo-Toa in the adventure! They just filled in the slots with the Warband repaints, because probably they had no information about the monsters used at the time. The few minis that are new monsters from the book are the Star Angler, Blazebear, Spyder-Fiend, Deadbark Dryad, Black Rose Bearer, Moonlight Guardian and Warforged Blade. And of course the NPCs too. All the cool Devils though, only appear as basically staff and patrons at a casino of Tiamat in Avernus. I don't mind though, these are really cool looking Devils. The theory we have is that the set was designed before WotC was ready with the whole adventure, would explain why so few creatures from it appear in this. Also why the Kakku Spyder-Fiend is a Large, when it should be Medium. The adventure has 4 types of Spyder-Fiends - Tanar'ri Demons serving Miska the Wolf-Spider - and I hope we get the others later. The Commoners are based on artwork where you have to go into the Death House in Barovia. They are nice for crowds for a "We don't like your kind here!" encounter in Ravenloft!
I know it’s not shown here but I got the Tasha mini, and she came in 3 pieces, her head, cape, and body all where separate in her bag and I had to glue her together myself.
Laysa Matulin in an archeologist, and the reason she looks more like a pirate queen is well, because she used to be one! She is encountered on Oerth helping other scientists uncover a tomb that Acererak repurposed as one of his classic deathtraps. She uses the Assassin stat block. #14 is supposed to be a Kuo-Toa Whip, hence the mancatcher weapon. Oddly it is not called that... I think the Barovian Angry Commoner lady is hurling probably rotten tomatoes. But could be apples, too... but those do not splat as satisfyingly!
My favorite is Vecna but because that’s everyone’s answers it’s the Vrock a useful monster that appears often in modules and this one isn’t bright blue like the one from Rage of Demons
You got lucky, btw - this set has a crazy brick distribution. I have seen people who got bricks with 3 of the same Large Uncommons and 2 of the same Medium Uncommons duplicated! Also this is the first set in quite some time that only has 3 Large Rares, not 4... so you will get a duplicate Large Rare if you get a case.
I think this is the second time a warband has been reused for a blind box. I don't have the Kuo-Toa warband yet so guess I don't need to buy it now, but I don't like the idea of reusing them. I love the goblin riding a worg though. Plus lots of classic monsters I can use. Edit: Apparently warbands have been repeated more that twice. Makes warbands really only useful for those who never buy boosters.

The hell wasp was definitely my favorite with the Worg being my second choice! The color scheme make them pop.
That fragile Hellwasp has to be the coolest bug mini yet!
I love large monsters like the Star Angler, but my favorite has to be Vecna with his cool pose and vibrant color scheme!
The Vecna mini is what caught my eye.
By far by favorite would be Vecna. Look at the multitude of accents in colors. Love the fact you weren't all up to date with the set, for a change. My favorite reviewchannel. Keep making them Theo.
For sure the hellwasp is the coolest, though the blazebear is also super cool looking!
Not sure the name either but that terminator-like is a very different take and I’m here for it !!
I love the angry mob of villagers, and of course, all of the Kua-Toa’s
The Worg with a Goblin on back was my favorite. It would draw a lot of attention getting pulled out at the table.
My favorite is definitely the hell wasp. The translucent wing effect is done so well!
Gotta love that Vecna mini! Great review as always!
Blazebear is by far my favorite from the set. Love the disgusting boils on it! Thanks for all the Reviews!!
The Arch Lich Vecna takes the cake for me. I love the translucency with the spell effects! Can’t wait to get my hands on him to terrify my players! Plight of the forever DM. LOL ❤😂 Great video as always! 🎉
I like the Kuo Toa. I think even with the repaint there is a good variety. Thanks for showing us the comparison.
Tossing my hat into the ring for the raffle! Loved the Blazebear mini it looks all sorts of narly! Thank you for doing these love to see what the upcoming sets might have in them up close and personal!
Pretty cool set I could definitely use a lot of these for my homebrew campaign. Vecna looks pretty cool
Hellwasp and Blaze Bear ROCK! Love your work 🤩 been following your channel from San Antonio for a long time now. Keep up the great work!
Nice... the good old Weight text.
Been doing that since the OG D&D Minis days in the 2000s.
Seems like a good pull of minis, all of the Devils looked good, nice to see some more commoners, the Vecna and Hell Wasp were great.
The only minis I wasn't thrilled with were the Bear, Moon Guardian and Spyder.
The hellwasp is amazing!
The worg has to be my favorite mini. It looks so good and has so much reusability.
The Blaze bear had my curiousity, but the angry commoners got my attention. They look like Wizkids asked Tim Burton to design some NPC's and he threw in an obligatory Winona Ryder/Helena Bonham Carter character with sharp color contrast for good measure.
I really liked how weird the star angler looks. Certainly, different enough to catch my party off-guard if they ever encounter something like that!
Without a doubt 13:21 The Blazebear for sure! I’m running a campaign where a giant necrotic enchantment has hit the continent corrupting and bring the dead back to life. This blazebear would make for an amazing wilderness zombie animal encounter since there isn’t a lot of undead animals
My favorite mini you unboxed was the Star Angler. Such a unique mini with lots of detail and very cool color scheme!
I love the blazebear and the corruption on it and VECNA in all his glory! 🎉
The Star Angler is the surprise of the set to me. The Hell Wasp looks crazy cool too
I like the color scheme on that vrock mini at the beginning. The contrast looks really nice.
Star angler and hellwasp both really caught my eye
I love the new Vecna design, but I also dig the hellwasp!
Laysa is a really great paint job & sculpt.
The Star Angler is my favorite from the pulls though.
I like the Star Angler and Vecna the best. The commoners will be handy as well.
Hell wasp for sure, the paint job was amazing!
I love the Worg mini for quite a few reasons - I like goblins and mounted figures, it's really well sculpted AND it reminds me of the classic Snig Worg Rider from the old D&D Miniatures line. I'd love to collect a bunch of these.

I love the skeletons! They're kinda cute!
It is hard to pick between the Star Angler and Hell Wasp as a favorite, they are both so great. Impressed more by this set than the 50th anniversary set for sure.
The Star Angler I think is my favorite I love the design!
All of the larger minis caught my eye, but definitely the wasp stands out the most
The star angle and blaze bear are rad !!!!
The goblin riding the worg is one of my favs. I did get the Platinum edition from beadle and Grim so I did get a few that were in this set.
I’m running a fairly modified version of Eve of Ruin to end a 7 year campaign that was always going to have Vecna as the BBEG, so that Vecna mini is a must for me! Love the different color magic translucent elements on it!
well since the 50th anniversary featured 2 Vecnas there are now plenty to choose from
My favorite mini of the sett is Lady alustriel… I just love iconic characters like Tasha, Vecna, Mordekainen… but alustriel gives me major high level wizard with that touch of delicacy, and that unicorn staff way too cool. From the ones you unboxed I’ll say Vecna for how epic it looks or the kuo toas, having a full war band of them will look so cool in a battle map.
My favorite is definitely the Worg. The Hell Wasp is also really cool
I really dig the star angler mini. Would be fun to use for a Spelljammer random encounter.
Vecna, followed by the wasp, but honorable mention for the tua warband
This is an easy one, Its the Hellwasp! That is one cool mini. Though its great having additional demons and devils. I'm also excited about the additional Koa Toa.
My favorite mini that you unboxed is Vecna. Mostly because he’s the big bad and I’m running this module for my friends. I’ve heavily rewritten the module to make it less sucky😂. In the entire set, Tasha is my favorite mini. But she’s pretty rare so I doubt I’ll get her any time soon😂
Hellwasp and Blaze Bear were standout pulls. But for practical use I always appreciate commoner minis, even if they are pale :)
I love the colors on the vecna mini a lot
I want the Vecna mini. I like the Hell wasp too, but I painted that one and am partial to my version more lol
I’m REALLY excited about the Vecna mini. I would have picked the Hell Wasp, but I painted my own and I like my paint job better 😂
Love Worg. The only thing my goblin camp is missing. Currently making due with a goblin boss glued to a wolf.
There definitely was a theme here with devils, angry commoners, kua toas and skeletons. I think the biggest people who benefit are curse of Strahd, underdark and descent into avernus. Luckily I run two of those so I might consider this box set 😁
I like the ice devil best, he has some really neat armor!
The blaze bear is very interesting. Deffently makes me want to read the lore!
The Star Angler is awesome! Hard to beat Vecna himself tho...😂
I love the angry commoners!!
I looove the hellwasp - it;s such a unique mini and versatile in that it can just be used as a giant bug if i need one, otherwise the spine devils are great!
Theo, they did do the reprinted Zombies in The Phandelver and Below: The Shattered Obelisk set, so there is some precedent for reuse of sculpts now.
Alot of people are saying the hellwasp, and i agree. One of the best mini in this set
Favorite mini is the skeleton with shield (I’m practical), but of course the hell wasp and the warg with rider are great
Lots of great minis. My favorites were the Hellwasp and the Star Angler. Definitely the most unique. Unfortunately this was a missed opportunity since many of the monsters in this set don't appear in the adventure.

With such a classic and infamous character, I would have thought that Vecna would be more detailed and scary looking. Love the channel and reviews of minis. It helps when I'm making mini purchases.
I'm always partial with the hellwasp since it was one of the very first minis I painted.
This booster box would be a great addition the the Beadle and grim platinum box I just got! 👀👀👀

Not gonna lie, the star angler is probably up on my list - simply because I want more aquatic looking monsters, since I only have a few
I really need that goblin riding the worg. As soon as I saw that I tried going to Miniature Market to order one, but they didn't have any...
The hellwasp is really impressive, but I think I'd have to go with Vecna since I could get more use out of him.
Can never have too many skeletons. The ice devil is cool
I like the Warog the reason is the way he is posed with the Gibbon on it
I love the worg too. We dont have many Worg minis
Really like the goblin on worg love mounted minis
The blaze bear is one I have been excited about but i think my favorite is the goblin on the warg!!!
My fave are the Kuo-Toa! (That’s a lot of Kuo-Toa!)
I would have to say my favorite is the chain devil for my Waterdeep campaign!
I know it’s not shown here but I got the Tasha mini, and she came in 3 pieces, her head, cape, and body all where separate in her bag and I had to glue her together myself.
I think I have to go with the worg with goblin rider. I don't think I have any 5e accurate worg minis at all. Great video review as always!
Love the wasp and bear, but the star angler i need in my adventures
Love the Blazebear! he just looks gross and scary (and with the CR of it, I expect it will terrify your party in more ways than one)
That hell wasp is sick
I do like the Vecna mini, personally think its the best compared to the 50th anniversary set. Also love the horned devil
I like the Ice Devil mini.
Hellwasp was my favorite for sure.... That would make my players cry for sure
I really like the goblin on the worg and Vecna the best the just have a uniqueness to them
While the big ones were cool, definitely want the fist pumping skeleton. A few of those would go a long way for beginning adventurers!
