    I don’t understand…
According to this sermon, and to scripture, marriage is permanent. Why does asking for forgiveness make it ok to remarry while the first spouse lives, when Jesus calls that adultery? Does being young or living in the country change the truth of God’s word? Galatians 5 says adulterers will not inherit the kingdom of heaven.
    Can someone please explain?

Yes, divorcing for anything other than sexual immorality and remarrying is adultery. I don’t know if the decision to divorce was made as a born again believer or when unsaved. Regardless of whether saved or unsaved, it is a sin. If a person repents of a sin, through the blood of Jesus, you are forgiven. Have you ever told a lie after being saved? What does that make you? A liar. Liars will not inherit the kingdom of heaven either. If you ask for forgiveness, God is faithful and just to forgive us our sins. My point is that even after being saved, we still sin. Jesus’ blood cleanses us of all sin. The only sin that has no forgiveness is blasphemy of the Holy Spirit, which is hardening your heart and refusing to believe in Jesus. We are not to live in sin but saying we have no sin makes us a liar because we still sin, even after believing.

@@anabetancourt4806 how do you define sexual immorality?
Who do you think are the adulterers who Jesus says will not inherit the kingdom of God?
It is not the divorce, but rather the remarriage, that constitutes adultery.

@@jen8595 Who are the liars who will not inherit the kingdom of heaven?
Jesus said if a man looks at a woman and lusts after her, he has already committed adultery with her in his heart. That would condemn almost every man to hell. The law was not given to make us think if we try hard enough, we could keep it. It was given to prove we couldn’t keep it. That’s why we need a Savior. Jesus came to save us. Whomever is guilty in breaking one commandment is guilty of breaking the entire law.

Did David go to heaven or hell? He was a man after God’s own heart. He committed adultery and murder. He married the woman he committed adultery with. Did David commit a sin by marrying Bathsheba? 100%. Did God forgive David of his sins of adultery and murder when he repented? 100%. He remained married to Bathsheba. Of all the sons David had, the one who inherited the throne and was part of the lineage of Jesus was Solomon, the son he had with Bathsheba. If that’s not the grace of God, then I don’t know what is.

@@anabetancourt4806 yes, David repented. Liars can repent. Consider whether remarriage while the first spouse lives is a continuous state of unrepentant adultery, according to the words of Jesus.

Marriage is Scared. God made it that way. Man and woman become 1 together. Only can they have ' The Blessing of Children'. ( For God created it for good ). Some try to twist things into what they want. This is ungodly and He will not Bless anything else that is not good. No matter what is what I Believe.

    God makes marriage, not man.
Because it was originally instituted by God, he makes the rules as to what is and is not in marriage
