Great reaction to a fantastic song! Whoever turned y'all onto this one is an old hat, and a good source. You're right, they get better the more you listen. Forever.
Every TOOL song you happen to be listening to is your favorite, even after you've heard their entire catalog 1000s of times. The deeper you dig, the more there is left to uncover.
1:40. It’s a megaphone. Maynard, the lead singer has it in his hand while he is at the mic. He is hitting the button on it for the sound. It is one of the few times TOOL uses any other sounds other than vocals, guitar, bass, drums in a song. I worded that incorrectly at the end.🌿🌸
The majority of Tool songs have sounds that don't just come from those standard instruments. There's alot of synthetic work. They're usually small ambient layers but they're all over their music.
This album changed my (musical) life when I discovered it. I was in school staying up way to late secretly watching music television. It was like digging up a treasure a mystery box to another world
Loving watching you guys discover Tool. You might find out, after every new Tool song, it becomes your favorite until the next one ;) Im here for your voyage to the outer edge of the spiral
It’s a common phenomenon that each TOOL song that one listens to becomes their favorite TOOL song. Until the next one. Nice to see you guys riding the spiral. Spiral out! Keep going!
Woohoo! Thanks for listening to this song! Always love your reactions and will get back to requesting sleep token as promised. But had to request one of my all time favorite Tool songs since I saw you were reacting to them as well! Spiral out and worship lol
That sounds at the beginning you thought was a keyboard was actually Maynard the lead singer singing into a toy bullhorn. Saw him do it many times on stage. That's why some of his lyrics are distorted too. He was using the bullhorn.
I always love it when i wake up and have a surprise like this. I'm here for any Tool song. 🌀🌀🌀 spiral out!!! (Something you'll understand when you two have heard a particular Tool song).
Same here, but I’d add Jinjer to that mix. All feature incredible lyricists/vocalists, virtuoso drummers, and extremely talented musicians. My faves of all time.
I've never really picked up on it before but the whole idea that the ticking at the beginning is someone tapping on a glass to get everyone's attention may actually very well be what that is supposed to represent in this song. It would make a lot of sense given the context. Good ear
Awesome, that is one of my favorite Tool songs. Maynard's lyrics and vocals are amazing. Keep it up! Check out the actual Forty Six & 2, the 1993 Reading live version of Sober, Stinkfist, Invincible, Descending, and the Danny Carey drum cam video of Pneuma.
Yes to no videos! Vibe always hits harder. glad Eulogy's in the fave tier... got a lot of the Tool framework. First time I heard it I thought, are these guys the GOAT? And only the second song off the second LP! Glad to have 🌀up in the rotation!
Thanks guys. Not that I dislike any tool songs really but this album is my absolute favorite by them. Forty Six & 2 is my favorite song on the album so that's my recommendation.
Shorter more main stream type songs are from Undertow in their early days. Try Bottom & Flood for a couple of real bangers. Tool can be beautiful or they can rip your face off. Either way, they can do it all in ways you will not hear anywhere else with a technical expertise that is rarely rivaled anywhere in the music world.
I kind of feel like Jasmine is a 30 year younger me, Now do the last track on the album where you can hear a little bit of Hicks before the song starts
progression rock/metal always has weird time signatures. same with Meshuggah. ive learned, as a musician and enjoyer of all music, i kinda shake my head up and down with small quarter head rotations and then head down on the first chord of the bar. hope that helps lol.
Kurt Cobain like to talk shit about tool claiming that one of tools music videos was a rip off of an old stop motion animation, Ignoring that the video was inspired by that very video on purpose. Tool gave full credit and unlike most bands who hire people to make video's it was tool members themselves who made the stop motion animation. Kurt had a lot to say but he had nothing to say. We're gonna miss him. He showed us how he wasn't afraid to die. Not all martyrs see divinity. He had a voice that was strong and loud. Might not be all about Kurt but i have a hard time believing the rumours that it wasn't/
If you guys like a good audio ass kicking react to The Grudge or Ticks and Leeches. Use lyric videos, when you know what he’s saying, there’s so much more depth too it.
No videos, good! Just gonna throw this out there, maybe an unpopular opinion: sometimes Tool songs start out really quiet, or have a very quiet interlude, then dial up the volume and go full blast. Feel free to adjust the volume as necessary. I hope you don't feel stuck wincing through a section that unexpectedly gets painfully loud, just because that's the volume you started the track with.
The song is a dedication to the comedian Bill Hicks who should definitely check out he was actually pretty big in the UK in the 90s before You two were born lol but I do love watching your kids react to my very favorite band ever!!! Also I’m up for more Ren anytime you want to do that, And do you know the band rage against the machine who Ren is also inspired by
Tool isn't stupid little Fuckn jingles.. It's real music. Not commercial advertisement bullshit. Warning though... The more you listen, the more those other little 4 minutes shitsongs will become a thing of your past. We'll enjoy watching your journey! Thanks for sharing!
This IS the greatest band ever. Do them all!
Great reaction to a fantastic song! Whoever turned y'all onto this one is an old hat, and a good source. You're right, they get better the more you listen. Forever.
More tool is always appreciated guys. Can always see on your faces when great music hits you ❤
The grudge is a great song 🙂
amazing song
1 of their best, surely, criminally underrated. Glad you liked it 👍.
Every TOOL song you happen to be listening to is your favorite, even after you've heard their entire catalog 1000s of times. The deeper you dig, the more there is left to uncover.
Love seeing Tool virgins experience them for the first time. I still remember that it hit me like a ton of bricks when it first came out.

Thank you, it's definitely an experience 😂
It’s a common phenomenon that each TOOL song that one listens to becomes their favorite TOOL song. Until the next one. Nice to see you guys riding the spiral. Spiral out! Keep going!
The great rule of thumb with discovering Tool is that your favourite Tool song will always be the next one ...
Great reaction. I love to see people discovering and appreciating Tool. Blow your mind with Lateralus next.
This really is my favorite Tool song.
The last Tool song you listen to, is your favorite! ….Until the next Tool song, then that one becomes your favorite & so on & so on 🤘🏻🌀
You two are adorable 🥰 oh yeh I’m a huge Tool & RAM fan!! Happy New Year 2025 🎉
Every song is an adventure
TOOL 🔥 🔥🔥
Check out AEnema and Stinkfist. Both are off the same album as Eulogy
One of my favorite tool songs. Thanks for getting the lyrics. Song is deep.
Woohoo! Thanks for listening to this song! Always love your reactions and will get back to requesting sleep token as promised. But had to request one of my all time favorite Tool songs since I saw you were reacting to them as well!
Spiral out and worship lol
1996 had some of crazy good albums come out.
That sounds at the beginning you thought was a keyboard was actually Maynard the lead singer singing into a toy bullhorn. Saw him do it many times on stage. That's why some of his lyrics are distorted too. He was using the bullhorn.
@@Andrew46_2 THAT'S WHAT THAT IS? LMAO
Who listen to this in 1996? My old butt did. This is my favorite album or theirs. Cant go wrong with any.
The Grudge next, please. Its off their Lateralus albumn. Lyrics are most helpful. 🌀🤘
I always love it when i wake up and have a surprise like this. I'm here for any Tool song.
🌀🌀🌀 spiral out!!!
(Something you'll understand when you two have heard a particular Tool song).
Nice! I need to break this album back out! Sometimes I forgot just how good it is. I remember when this came out. The entire album is good.
Tool was my favorite musical love for twenty years before I came across Sleep Token. Loved this! ❤
I have said the very same thing! The two bands are on another level as far as music goes.
Same here, but I’d add Jinjer to that mix. All feature incredible lyricists/vocalists, virtuoso drummers, and extremely talented musicians. My faves of all time.
Love you guys! Of course my top band Sleep Token drew me in but I grew up listening to Tool. Thank yall!
Ahh Aenima. This is when hungry and angsty TOOL turned into explorers and pioneers.
I've never really picked up on it before but the whole idea that the ticking at the beginning is someone tapping on a glass to get everyone's attention may actually very well be what that is supposed to represent in this song. It would make a lot of sense given the context. Good ear
Your dog heard “keys” and thought y’all were goin somewhere. That’s awesome
Im only at the beginning. Your baby is so adorable and sleepy. Cracks me up watching the ears. 😊
Great reaction

Definitely check out their songs The Grudge & Lateralus. Both amazing songs!
Thanks guys. Not that I dislike any tool songs really but this album is my absolute favorite by them. Forty Six & 2 is my favorite song on the album so that's my recommendation.
Tool - Wings for Marie pt 1 and 2.. Bring tissues.
Since you don’t mind diving into the rabbit hole of TOOL! You should check out A PERFECT CIRCLE and PUSIFER!! All three bands have the same singer!
Excellent Tool 🔥🔥🔥
Recommend you two song ..
Deftones, Minerva and Steven Wilson Significant other.
Regards from Chile South America
Aenema is probably a good next song. Spiral out 🌀
Every Tool song is better than every other Tool song.
I finally feel like they are starting to get it lol, spiral out my friends
You may not believe it but this song makes me cry because I miss Bill Hicks he was a truth teller and very funny very dark kind of like Ren…❤❤❤
🤘❤🤘
🤘🏻🌀

Agree. If you want shorter Tool songs, Undertow is the albumn to go to. Early Tool rocks!
He's using the little talkie part of s megaphone. It has a call button
This one cracks top 5 tool songs for me. I don't know which one is number one, but I remember being blown away in the 90s when I first heard this.
Adding lyrics is a huge add

sound at the start is the singer making the noise through a megaphone
Try reflection and merkaba!!
It's about people blindly following a saviour figure
THE WARNING PEPSI CENTER CDMX IS 24 SONGS???
Great one! Before you do Parabol/Parabola, the official tool video is 100% allowed. I think you have earned watching any of their videos, actually.

Animals love tool.. is that a pit/boston?
Its a French Bulldog

This song is about Kurt Cobain.
I don't care what anyone else says.
Nodding heads. Have absolutely no idea about what Tool is. How did this end up on my feed?

you can OVER-DO a intro build up....and they did.
