The designer of gemstone godzilla talked about how the beta model used in the original gvsg trailer is in his eyes a stylized interpretation of what "the original godzilla looked like before he disappeared" and he also sports a 5th finger. Now that to me sounds like a hint that gemstone has a "heisei sr" in their style already (using quotes because not official even tho I am in total support of this)

I think it's pretty open to interpretation and was mean to be so, purposely. It's a suit design here, a sound effect there, a scene mimicked, etc. A culmination of everything wrapped into one, so that EVERYONE can see their own favorite G-design continue on.

Well I don't know how to tell you this, but zilla and godzilla 1998 have the same number of fingers. But something interesting is that Godzilla 1954 and 1955 both have ears and 4 toes. But the rest of the godzillas after that don't have ears and only 3 toes.

No, Godzilla Final Wars showed up for the first time in 1954 and was stuck in the ice for 50 years, he is the only Godzilla from that timeline. He doesn't act nor look like the Heisei Godzilla either too.

Having the videos section in the spot I have it is very helpful when navigating your channel, because I know that frustrates me personally when there are lots of playlists or other stuff when going to someone's chanell. Also I don't know what response you mean, if you could clear that up that would be helpful.

Well that's mostly because I've been making vids for about 4 years now, the last 3 vids might be similar to their stuff, but It's mostly because I'm trying to do different stuff. Well I'm not saying he is, but I would say because Godzilla had already died, and they have changed his name multiple times, from baby, to little godzilla, to jr. But I'm not saying he is godzilla jr.

I'm sticking to my headcanon that Heisei is canon to Gemstone but not the other way around. Like how the original 1954 Goji is canon to most Godzilla movies but said movies are never at all canon to the original. Plus, it's nice to think Jr leading a relatively more heroic life than compared to his dad.
Well It's not really headcanon, it's basically just putting the pieces together. The only thing missing from the two series being connected is official confirmation from the company.
Well I don't see how you can't like my theory if that's what you think, since I said that he wasn't godzilla jr and that the short films are too different from the heisei era. But speaking theoretically, would he not be his own thing even if people thought he was godzilla jr. I don't see anything wrong with letting people think they are connected to the heisei era or think he isn't. But you have to admit there too many similarities for the creator to not know what he's doing.

Im siding with those who say gemstone is not jr. The toes or finger argument are weird but i got 1 kinda solid argument, his skin Heisei which received quite significant changes did not make its skin change, another example is Godzilla evolved whose changes were very visible but had no change in the shape of the skin
There's another reason why I don't consider him Godzilla Jr. His skin color is not green, but he was green. As for the fingers, I think that radiation only affects the location of the fingers, and not their number. This new Godzilla is even more like Shin Godzilla in his classic form. This is hinted at by the structure of the head, the texture of the skin and the dorsal plates, which are also arranged in the same order as Shin Godzilla's

@@GSTE_ Pro: The roster (For the Wii version at least.) It has the most definitive roster in a Godzilla game to date, with the only other competition being Godzilla PS4. Overall, great roster all around. Pro: The music in this game SLAPS! It is so unbelievably good for the kind of game it's in. Some of this stuff sounds like a rock band made it. (Which it did) The golden standouts are, Mecha Ghidorah, Mougera and Jet Jaguar. Pro: The custom match types. Now sure it's nothing special, but's genuinely fun to play around. Changing monster speeds and sizes, customizing the military and the overall fight is a lot of fun. Con: The motion controls are AWFUL!! I get that if you play it enough, you eventually get used to it, but I couldn't stand them! No amount of convincing will make me think that flicking a stick around like a madman is going to be fun! Con: The graphics. I don't really care that much, but the visuals for this game (Especially the PS2 port) aren't very good. The Wii version looks fine, but the Ps2 port looks washed out and depressing. Con: The stage selection. Like, C'mon. Save the Earth had a lot of stages for you and your monster to fuck around in, this game on the other hand has little to choose from, making the barebones gameplay loop of the story mode (Which we'll get to) much more barebones. And the final Con: The story mode is a mess. But what's even MORE sad is that it could of been great. The concept of choosing Godzilla factions and getting unique endings for that faction is a Fantastic idea. Unfortunately, it fell harder then MrBeast's career did. Because half if not all the levels are just destroying crystals and other mundane bullshit. And getting an anti-climactic ending for all that. The final verdict for Godzilla unleashed is a 6\10 for the Wii version, and a 4.1\10 for the Ps2 version.
well I don't know exactly since I haven't seen all of the manga version, but I do know that everything is more extreme. Godzilla literally disintegrates destoroyah with his atomic breath, spacegodzilla lights up space with his power, mechagodzilla rips of parts of godzilla's dorsal plates, and godzilla lifts biollante into the air. That's about all I know on the manga version.

I think I made it clear that it wasn't confirmed. But it also wasn't denied to be Godzilla jr. Personally I wouldn't consider it to be connected to the series even if it was confirmed, due to the style of film making and quality being much different from the heisie godzilla films. If anything the Godzilla vs Gigan suit short film would be more connected to the heisei godzilla films due to the style of film making, certain shots used, the way the monsters move in relation to what they are doing, and just the overall look of it. I know a lot of people think it is Godzilla jr, and I don't think they are wrong to think that due to the abundance of similarities and connections to the heisei godzilla films.
I've followed this debate for quite a long time, but things have never escalated this far. But the actually fact is that both sides have proofs, but not solid enough and can easily debunked in many ways, so these are some: 1. The overall design and the fingers, the most recent proof from Not-JR team, was debunked with the fact that Godzilla's appearance in Showa era changes a lot through time. 2. Miki Saegusa's voice, a proof from Is-JR team, could be debunked with the fact that some actors/actresses play 2 different characters from 2 different verses in the franchise. 3. The G-force proof, from both, got debunked with the fact that there is too lack of information about G-Force and JSDF. And overall, no confirmation and no solid proof enough, so people can think in anyway they want. But I'd like this guy to be a brand new Godzilla. The ones that want GEM to be adult GJR just don't understand the Heisei era the true way. It started with frightening, went through a epic and fantastic path, and ended with sadness but a little happiness. I love that ending for the era, full of sadness with a minor detail to make us smile. But let it rest in peace, please. Look at Millennium, every movies of it always give us a true ending to cancel the story and only a few details for us to think of, but not why the story should be continued. Also GEM series doesn't give any vibe to Heisei series at all. Heisei Godzilla is likely a powerful, unstoppable force to humanity, while Gemstone series involves intense, brutal fights between Kaijus. And also GEM doesn't fit being an adult JR. At the first time watching GvGR, I also thought that this is JR. But anytime thinking of that, I always have that feeling. Why tf did my boy turn to something like this??? Where is my cute boy??? Why did he turn to this thing with his body filled with scars and an angry face??? So pls just don't fckingly ruin GEM and JR themselves by connecting these 2, and let the Heisei era rest in peace, btches.

And some of them, like Mothra 1961 is connected to the main timeline of Showa era Godzilla, creating a conflict that ShowaGoji who is the protector of the Earth didn't appear to stop KiryuGoji despite in the Showa era, he was still there until 2000. This means the events in Mothra 1961 happened in both Showa timeline and KiryuSaga timeline, but they're basically 2 seperated timelines.This is similar to MireGoji timeline and G54 timeline. Also I believe they added these small details for reference and tribute to the old movies, not actually for continuitation at all, also the beginning scene of GvGR and the ending scene of GvD. And I included two more reasons beside that. Gemstone series and Heisei series have a different look from each other, and connecting Gemstone G and GJR will just fckingly ruin them both.

If gemstone Godzilla is Godzilla jr then how come the military in the Godzilla vs megalon short film don’t call him jr wouldn’t they recognize him from 1996?
Well I'm not saying he is, but I would say because Godzilla had already died, and they have changed his name multiple times, from baby, to little godzilla, to jr.

In my opinion I think the reason for some effects, music and sound effects is to pay homage to the heisei era as it's super iconic and due to his design being used for many other Godzillas, they probably decided to use heisei Godzilla music and sound effects just to pay homage to the Heisei era, just me though

I'm sticking to my headcanon that Heisei is canon to Gemstone but not the other way around. Like how the original 1954 Goji is canon to most Godzilla movies but said movies are never at all canon to the original. Plus, it's nice to think Jr leading a relatively more heroic life than compared to his dad.
Well It's not really headcanon, it's basically just putting the pieces together. The only thing missing from the two series being connected is official confirmation from the company.

But speaking theoretically, would he not be his own thing even if people thought he was godzilla jr. I don't see anything wrong with letting people think they are connected to the heisei era or think he isn't.
But you have to admit there too many similarities for the creator to not know what he's doing.
In addition to why this is junior because if heisei goji never reached juniors radiation state so he evolved faster than his father and the fith finger could be part of that evolution so junior for 25 years was just evolving

Heisei which received quite significant changes did not make its skin change, another example is Godzilla evolved whose changes were very visible but had no change in the shape of the skin

There's another reason why I don't consider him Godzilla Jr. His skin color is not green, but he was green. As for the fingers, I think that radiation only affects the location of the fingers, and not their number. This new Godzilla is even more like Shin Godzilla in his classic form. This is hinted at by the structure of the head, the texture of the skin and the dorsal plates, which are also arranged in the same order as Shin Godzilla's

@@GSTE_ Pro: The roster (For the Wii version at least.) It has the most definitive roster in a Godzilla game to date, with the only other competition being Godzilla PS4. Overall, great roster all around.
Pro: The music in this game SLAPS! It is so unbelievably good for the kind of game it's in. Some of this stuff sounds like a rock band made it. (Which it did) The golden standouts are, Mecha Ghidorah, Mougera and Jet Jaguar.
Pro: The custom match types. Now sure it's nothing special, but's genuinely fun to play around. Changing monster speeds and sizes, customizing the military and the overall fight is a lot of fun.
Con: The motion controls are AWFUL!! I get that if you play it enough, you eventually get used to it, but I couldn't stand them! No amount of convincing will make me think that flicking a stick around like a madman is going to be fun!
Con: The graphics. I don't really care that much, but the visuals for this game (Especially the PS2 port) aren't very good. The Wii version looks fine, but the Ps2 port looks washed out and depressing.
Con: The stage selection. Like, C'mon. Save the Earth had a lot of stages for you and your monster to fuck around in, this game on the other hand has little to choose from, making the barebones gameplay loop of the story mode (Which we'll get to) much more barebones.
And the final Con: The story mode is a mess. But what's even MORE sad is that it could of been great. The concept of choosing Godzilla factions and getting unique endings for that faction is a Fantastic idea. Unfortunately, it fell harder then MrBeast's career did. Because half if not all the levels are just destroying crystals and other mundane bullshit. And getting an anti-climactic ending for all that.
The final verdict for Godzilla unleashed is a 6\10 for the Wii version, and a 4.1\10 for the Ps2 version.

I have a question on heisei godzilla: Is the manga version more powerful than the film? If so, by how much
well I don't know exactly since I haven't seen all of the manga version, but I do know that everything is more extreme. Godzilla literally disintegrates destoroyah with his atomic breath, spacegodzilla lights up space with his power, mechagodzilla rips of parts of godzilla's dorsal plates, and godzilla lifts biollante into the air.
That's about all I know on the manga version.

I think I made it clear that it wasn't confirmed.
But it also wasn't denied to be Godzilla jr. Personally I wouldn't consider it to be connected to the series even if it was confirmed, due to the style of film making and quality being much different from the heisie godzilla films.
If anything the Godzilla vs Gigan suit short film would be more connected to the heisei godzilla films due to the style of film making, certain shots used, the way the monsters move in relation to what they are doing, and just the overall look of it.
I know a lot of people think it is Godzilla jr, and I don't think they are wrong to think that due to the abundance of similarities and connections to the heisei godzilla films.

I've followed this debate for quite a long time, but things have never escalated this far. But the actually fact is that both sides have proofs, but not solid enough and can easily debunked in many ways, so these are some:
1. The overall design and the fingers, the most recent proof from Not-JR team, was debunked with the fact that Godzilla's appearance in Showa era changes a lot through time.
2. Miki Saegusa's voice, a proof from Is-JR team, could be debunked with the fact that some actors/actresses play 2 different characters from 2 different verses in the franchise.
3. The G-force proof, from both, got debunked with the fact that there is too lack of information about G-Force and JSDF.
And overall, no confirmation and no solid proof enough, so people can think in anyway they want. But I'd like this guy to be a brand new Godzilla. The ones that want GEM to be adult GJR just don't understand the Heisei era the true way. It started with frightening, went through a epic and fantastic path, and ended with sadness but a little happiness. I love that ending for the era, full of sadness with a minor detail to make us smile. But let it rest in peace, please. Look at Millennium, every movies of it always give us a true ending to cancel the story and only a few details for us to think of, but not why the story should be continued. Also GEM series doesn't give any vibe to Heisei series at all. Heisei Godzilla is likely a powerful, unstoppable force to humanity, while Gemstone series involves intense, brutal fights between Kaijus. And also GEM doesn't fit being an adult JR. At the first time watching GvGR, I also thought that this is JR. But anytime thinking of that, I always have that feeling. Why tf did my boy turn to something like this??? Where is my cute boy??? Why did he turn to this thing with his body filled with scars and an angry face??? So pls just don't fckingly ruin GEM and JR themselves by connecting these 2, and let the Heisei era rest in peace, btches.
Then explain toho making the kiryu saga connected to some of the non godzilla showa flicks? Who says the heisei era needs to rest with no spiritual continuations when toho did that with the showa era?
@@Kaiju-bm4ts First, these non-Godzilla movies aren't made into a series like Heisei, they still has more potential to come back or be mentioned. And some of them, like Mothra 1961 is connected to the main timeline of Showa era Godzilla, creating a conflict that ShowaGoji who is the protector of the Earth didn't appear to stop KiryuGoji despite in the Showa era, he was still there until 2000. This means the events in Mothra 1961 happened in both Showa timeline and KiryuSaga timeline, but they're basically 2 seperated timelines.This is similar to MireGoji timeline and G54 timeline. Also I believe they added these small details for reference and tribute to the old movies, not actually for continuitation at all, also the beginning scene of GvGR and the ending scene of GvD. And I included two more reasons beside that. Gemstone series and Heisei series have a different look from each other, and connecting Gemstone G and GJR will just fckingly ruin them both.
