The reason it costs more is because it’s meant to be an everyday kind of sneaker that you can be a little more careless with. (Running,sports,trail walks, etc.) with this new design and more heavy duty materials you can wear the shoe without being too paranoid that’s it’s going to get messed up. While $185 is pretty expensive, it makes sense for it to cost more than the OG 97 because of the extra stuff added onto it. (Ventilation, scuff resistant front/back, water resistant, heavy duty Materials.)

No. Less cost for nike- means more profit fot them is price is same as regular 97. Mesh is cheaper than leather
Recycling is costlier than using new materials, thus the justification on the higher pricing.

I glad I watched this before buying, the no padding & no 3m reflective is definitely a no.
I want to get a pair of terrascape air max's, but I would want them at a heavy discount. I think the vast majority of nike products aren't worth retail from a material standpoint. I really like the black and green 1s
100% agree with you on most of their products being overpriced. I didn’t even want to sell y’all on this shoe knowing it isn’t worth $185 one bit.
