In the top 5 of all air max period! These are beautiful and classic. ‘97 my hs grad year I was one of the first people in my school to have them and they broke necks! I finally won a raffle for them so I’m excited to grab them for retail on Friday!

Meaning back then when you had new sneaks, heads would turn bc most had never seen them before, so you def got more attention back then and see jaws dropping.
Had these in the 10th grade and they were the most expensive shoes out besides the Penney’s. Was heart broken when I popped the air bubble climbing a fence smh
Nice review and glad they busted these back out! The only thing I see different on the new version is the back pull tag is shorter and don’t go all the way down. So now you can spot the 2022 from the older models.

Yeah and I noticed that with the shorter pull tab. But didn’t know the shorter one is from the OG 97 pair. I think the shoes look better with the shorter pull tab.

I have the 2017 pair. Store them away even though I wore them/cleaned them. It will get darker/tint of yellow within time. Beautiful shoe. Wish the yellowing would slow down more.
The main difference is the creases on the toe box area that's why I got rid of my 2017 pair it looks like the newer pair doesn't have creases in the toe box.

Am I the only one who noticed the external seam compared to the old model? All Airmax 97 have only one seam, this one has both inside and outside, can you explain?
how do they feel on feet compared to 2017 ones? got 2017 ones, but most likely getting the newer pair as some beaters since I took really good care of my 2017 ones and had a lot of good memories with them so I wanna frame them.

The 2018 pair were stiff like rocks. Very uncomfortable. That's an opinion shared by many, not just myself. These appear to be just the same so I think I'll pass. Dope looking shoe though !!!!
For the 2017 pair I went with my standard which is a full size (for me) cause Air max's are narrow for my wide feet. Just stick with your normal air max shoe size or try em on in the store I haven't heard much static about these flying off the shelves.

Use vegetable oil on a paper towel. It will clear up the air bubble unit.

the biggest major differnce is the pull tab on the heel - they are now like the 97 OG release

The 2022 has a seam on one of the panels on the lateral side. Just like the OG. Looks cleaner to me without it like on the 2017’s.

There’s actually some subtle differences and this pair is closer to the OG than the 2017 pair.
Got them early. One major difference: the stitching on the sides. The 2017 didn't have that. The 2022 does, just like the OG ❤
