      The problem is markets in developed countries are dominated by carriers leasing expensive flagship phones on multi-year plans, while markets in developing countries will still find the Nothing phone too expensive as a one-time purchase compared to low-end phones and mid-range competition. It boggles the mind how this company is still afloat designing and selling phones.

    I love how transparent and open the Nothing brand is. You don't get CEOs of other companies doing this AT ALL, and he admits that it's a good phone, another thing you will never see CEOs doing. And I like how he openly admits that they have things to work on. This is the mark of a very good company. And a company who listens, and good customer service. This makes me want to buy a Nothing phone. Hopefully this does not change as they grow.

      @@ayushbhatt2861 nah they just neglected the OxygenOS fans. Everything else that is their in Oneplus 11 is catered towards the audience who want a phone with flagship specs under 800$ with the brand name of Oneplus. In real life, very less people gives a shit about whether it's running OxygenOS or ColorOS. The thing that matters to them is the smoothness, stability and features of an UI

    • @ayushbhatt2861
      @ayushbhatt2861 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@dragonforcegaming7555 Yeah that's what I'm talking about, OxygenOs is just a medium to complaint about the UI experience which OnePlus is neglecting, OnePlus UI has now become shit, bugs are everywhere, glitches are not so common, ram management is mess

    • @dragonforcegaming7555
      @dragonforcegaming7555 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@ayushbhatt2861 Yeah bugs are indeed a problem but if you look in the past, then you will see Bugs has always been a part of OnePlus since OxygenOS. Sometimes they even used to introduce bugs like apple did to slow down the phone.
      Glitches are common for every UI. Even iOS has glitches. That thing cannot be dealt with. The maximum they can do is reduce the amount of glitches but again most of these glitches aren't UI related, it's app related. So app developers do need a bit of criticism. As for Ram management, I didn't hear any complaints about that with OnePlus devices. I used the 10 pro and even there I didn't experience any ram management issues. The issues I experienced was a screen freezing bug(I experienced this on OxygenOS 10 too but this time it was less than OOS10). Ram management has been an issue with FuntouchOS not with ColorOS.

  • @topspduk

    By far Oneplus 7 Pro is their masterpiece. Symmetric design in the back (cameras in the centre!), unobstructive clean front screen (no punch hole cemera!), polished Oxygen OS (I'm still using v11, completely bug free, rock solid stability!). Oh and useful camera set up - really love 3x zoom, though I wish it had more zoom. The feature set, design... the phone overall is simply sublime. I think Oneplus 7 pro will be a future classic.
    I bought the phone brand new years ago and I'm still using it daily in 2023 and still loving it.

    1. Pitch Black Color in Dark mode which enhance battery 🔋 life
    2. the colors of screen still fill like use normal lcd panel insted of oled panel so nothing team could do work on it.
    3. Rebuilt or introduce your own Call(Phone) app and the worst part is the UI interface while calling
    4. Maybe sometime camera shutter button
    stuck while capture photos... so work on it
    5.customisation option available for notification icon color background because it's too limited

    I like how Carl pointed out things the average person would likely never notice like the camera module surround that meets the frame initially looking one piece but actually is two pieces meeting together or the mis-aligned volume rocker button and vibration slider. I also appreciate his assessment of the OS and little things that reflect the OS's origins being Chinese and how certain things like the clock and having space to write out Chicago but chose not to. I'm very interested to see Nothing's flagship device later this year cause if Carl can obsess over small details on the Phone 1 like how fast apps open and close, minor details that a large OEM would never think twice about then I'm excited to see with much better hardware, how much better that experience can be.

    I really wanted to get the Nothing 1, but lack of USB 3.0 or higher and T-Mobile not being able to guarantee compatibility really pushed me away. If the Nothing 2 (or next phone), can find itself somewhere between mid-range and flagship in terms of quality and price just as the Nothing 1 did, I'll definitely be interested. Besides the lack of USB-C to HDMI support, the Nothing 1 looked to be everything I was looking for in a phone.
