It’s very shocking to hear a CEO of a rival company compare their products to the rival in this way. I’ve never seen anything like it, but I think it’s a really cool thing to see.
It's not about big heart, but making people compare nothing products with Apple and not other Android products.. this is thing... He just trying to set nothing product placement in consumer minds side to Apple.. and presenting Nothing=Carls. It's mind game marketing without loosing money... And as they are still not capture significant market share.. it's not at all bad to " to point out" GOODS from top brand...

Always amazes me how Carl Pei reviews Apple's products very neutrally while comparing it to the development and manufacturing process of existing Nothing products. While I'm not a fan of TWS headphones or earbuds myself due to the latency and need to charge, I still commend Carl Pei and the Nothing team for creating such unique products with a real eye for the future.

@@AdmiralulNipples I have in fact tried several pairs of true wireless earbuds and they all have a noticeable latency (even when using the aptX Low Latency codec). It's a simple fact that true wireless earbuds, regardless of the codec or price point, have more latency than the 10-15ms of latency on wired earbuds and headphones.
If you enjoy watching content without latency or require minimal latency because of your profession it is vital to have a 3,5mm headphone jack to connect wired earbuds or headphones.

Genius marketing. Such a humble, refreshing analysis of competitors products is only going to drive more people to buy from this brand. I think it’s so important to acknowledge that there are tons of options in the tech market. You don’t see other companies doing stuff like this, and it’s really cool.

My older earpods (not the pro 2) eventually had disconnecting issues after a year of use. While I've had the Ear(1) since release and the pairing has been superb. I ended up picking up the Ear(2) as well, and it's an overall improvement in sound! I do miss the round edges of the ear(1) case though.

They stay in my ears when running and become unnoticeable. They are tight but comfortable. The sound quality is about the same as the 1st gen buds. They pair more easily with my LG G8 ThinQ and immediately reconnect when removed from the case. The sound balance is excellent, good but not overpowering base and clean mid tones and highs.Cons: The noise cancellation is good but perhaps a little less effective than the Bose ANC on the 1st gen buds. Passthrough mode as not as good as the 1st gen buds making it a little more difficult to hear conversations when in passthrough.
I met Carl IRL a few years ago. It was all about the first OnePlus phone that needed an invitation to buy. He was already that humble and smiled. A great guy. He listened more than he talked. :)
Love my ear 2s, they are so comfortable and sound amazing. Blow my pixel buds out of the water. Excited to see what the phone 2 will offer.

@@chieflingco Buds Pro are pretty equal Id say its more of a preference since the Buds Pro are one of the better ones.
Buds-A arent comparable they are more mid tíer while the Pro and Ear 2 are more High Tier and the Apple Pro (and Sony/Sennheiser pendants) are "top tier" Id say.

Great video to watch, really humble which makes it enjoyable instead of what some other android companies are doing.. only thing I noticed was that he didn't use spatial audio as much because not a lot of songs use it, but even if they don't support it, spatial audio really introduced me to a new sound experience and now I always use it (not always with head tracking tho)

Not gonna lie, even though I'm heavily invested in the Apple ecosystem and have no interest in changing things up, watching these videos definitely makes me want to buy a Nothing product. Probably nothing to replace any of my current Apple products, but I could definitely see myself buying a Nothing Phone 1 (or 2 when that comes out) as a second phone which I would use to test the Android version of our apps (I'm an app developer).

I have the Nothing Ear 1 (black) and these are definitely THE BEST EARBUDS I've ever used.
My wife has Airpods and she used my Nothing Ear 1's and her immediate reaction was "the sound quality is so good".

wish you talked more about microphones. this is one area that immediately sets major brands apart from others, as smaller brands have higher tendencies saving costs from things users talk less about. and Nothing Ear 2 has such great mics that deserve more praises. also, the long battery life is a great perk

honestly speaking of competition brands like this is really immaculate and i highly respect the CEO being able to kind of give their users reviews and taking minute details for comparisons rather than just using it for a couple of days is really amazing. Respect 💯

I can’t believe that the CEO of Nothing is able to not only objectively review competing products, but in such a public manner…I’ve heard other CEOs talk about their competition in a positive light, but always in a generalised state, but never in a direct and objective way, such as your review with the iPhone, where he stated that the iPhone was better for those who want a premium experience and the Nothing phone was great value for the amount of money you’re putting into it. Keep the videos coming!

@@hightop_faded9419 there isn't exactly much to copy, its an extremely basic exterior design, and it seems the ones produced by the nothing company are very different in actual design. Maybe if you consider it the idea of earbuds in a case, but that existed long before airpods.

Not really NOTHING is obviously very inspired by Apple and Carl is obviously a fan. And most of the audience that he tries to focus on is going to be possible Apple users or people who want theApple experience but don’t want to be part of a crowd/pay the Apple price. All around just great marketing and well focused on the core audience

I had always said I'd never buy AirPods 'cause you could get equally as good earbuds for $40-$60. But I tried the AirPods Pro 2 on launch day and was astounded by the noise cancellation. Bought them immediately.

I’ve had the Air Pods Pro and you wouldn’t have imagined my shock when o tried the Transparency mode. It really made me forget I was even wearing them at all. In fact the only complaint I have of them is that I can’t wear them in bed. When I try, they always fall out due to me always tossing and turning.

Doing a review of a product that gives your brand a direct competition is a ballsy move that not every brand could do. This clearly shows that you dont have to pass derogatory comments on other brand for your brand to be successful and it just shows the idealistic playing field for brands where they can appreciate each other and at the same time grow your band to continuously up the game. So much things to learn from just a review. Thanks nothing for everything..;)

I did opt for the nothing ear 2s considering the price point was less, and after getting them, the audio was better than anything than any in ear audio I had experienced. The only issue I encountered was bluetooth connectivity. I worked out with them and would have random blanks in audio during a workout where my phone would be in my pocket at a machine on the tredmill. Might have been a single lemon, but I did have to return them in the case that they were faulty. Hope no one else has experienced this since they were a great value device in my opinion.

I got the ear two a couple of days ago. I am LOVING IT. my airpod pro's died, and now I have a Samsung so was close to getting buds 2 but so glad I got these.
I think the two standouts for me is they are insanely comfy and there is heaps of features. I think the app is really well made and there is a lot to play around with
Sound is great. It was hard to not go buds 2 because the base is just so good but these come close
