There is chaos in a lot of places, it's important to reflect and appreciate the peace we enjoy. This is why we thought it was important to take time here in our peaceful village to acknowledge how lucky we are. Today marks 50 years of Liberty, on this April 25 1974 the people took back our country, Portugal.
We hope you enjoyed the video, and that you have peace wherever you are.

My former northern European place "forgot" to teach us anything about the Portuguese dictatorship and, I have only learned much more during the last year and my visits to 5 of the Azorian islands and Santiago island in Cabo Verde (more visits to come).
What a History Carlos and, SO many wonderful people and, I still haven't been to Brazil - "just" mingle with a lot of lovely Brazilians home I Dublin and, then there is Angola... If the people from there are as lovely as the rest of the former colonial Portugal, I' lll just love them all ❤️!
True freedom means everything dear Carlos and, you and everyone else in the Azores are so good at showing this to us all - thanks so much 👍👍👍

Canada 🇨🇦 is famous for BBQ ! First time I ever heard that ? You definitely have the weather for it ❄️ ⛄️ ☔️ lol 😜
Lol. I just meant that when the summer hits, the bbq's come to life. You have the Portuguese with the sardines, the Italians with the porquetta, etc. It's all good! Take care!

No Azoreans here in Perth, we are all Madeirense but we also enjoy a good sardine or Espetada BBQ too . It’s interesting 🤨 you mention Portuguese 🇵🇹 miltary service today . Before my father immigrated to Australia 🇦🇺 he did his miltary service in 1965/66 where he was shipped off to the Azores from Madeira to complete his training as a driver. He always had fond memories of the Azores 💋
Canada was once a great country , now under salazar turdo ,its gone to hell , so Im told by relatives who live in Toronto. We are thinking of leaving the US because like Canada its also a mess . Maybe we will buy a house in the Azores ? Probably !😃 4:00
Canada and Portugal are not perfect, but would still choose them over most of the other 191 countries. A lot worst places then Canada, feel fortunate to belong to both places. Appreciate your comment. Take care!

@@herbgardener4007, I'm in the US and I have a former brother in law who is free from the US "covidians". He's DEAD. But free I suppose. What killed him? STUPIDITY and Covid. He died free and gasping to breath free, but alas the ventilator was breathing for him as his lungs hardened into eternity. Conservatism kills.
