Hello Max and Jacqueline, thank you so much for all of the Lisbon travel tips. I'm traveling there for my birthday at the end of November and you've given me some great ideas for placing to see and things to do 🙂
Thank you guys💑 for sharing amazing Lisbon and area. 🏩The food looked amazing also. Love the channel and love the video. Stay safe and enjoy Portugal. Cheers 🥧🥧👨🏭
Fun fact; Portuguese is part of the language family 'Romance language'. There are five Romance languages French, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, and Romanian
There are for more romance languages. Those are only the main ones. There is also Galician, Catalan, Occitan, Asturleonese, Romansh, Sardinian, Ladin and many others.
Went there around Sept 2024. The Pink Street is quite small. Some of the paint coming off. A lot of renovations happening in Lisbon but also plenty of empty or closed buildings.
Honestly the hotel was not great, couldn’t recommend it. But the location was awesome! The ferry is the public ferry, you use the metro card to tap on and off and you can see the schedule on Google Maps 😊
It looks exactly like the Golden Gate Bridge, but it’s actually the Ponte Abril 25, named for that date in 1974 that marks the Carnation Revolution which brought an end to a crushing dictatorship under Salazar. I live here, but sometimes I call it the Golden Gate! 😂 Nice vlog of some of Lisbon’s highlights. Bom trabalho!!!
@@MaxandJacqueline - It looks similar because it was actually designed and build by the same company that build the Oakland Bay Bridge, not the Golden Gate Bridge. 😉
You're right, Jacqueline. Argentina's ice cream is the best, hands down. I didn't know that Lisbon was such an amazing city. Greetings from Buenos Aires.
I wish they'd mentioned the pricing more, like Sintra guide and would that include the entrance ticket? Because I thought buying in advance would save time.
Hope you guys had a great time in Lisbon! But, come on, three days isn't enough to visit the city. In three days you rush around, see the basic tourist spots (likely overpriced and crowded) and that's not good enough. I usually recommend closer to a week, ir order to visit Sintra/Cascais as well. Make sure to come back. You're always welcome!
I know you're not familiar with the Portuguese language, so here's a pronunciation tip: the "ç" always has an "ss" sound, so "praça" should sound like "prassa" and not like "praca". 11:34 - Do you know what the name of those stairs translates into English? It's "The Little Stairs of Health". How fitting is that? 😄 17:40 - It's not the oldest bookstore in the world, it's the oldest bookstore *still in activity* in the world and it's in the Guiness for that reason. 😉
Not to fun history fact: In this "age of discovery/enlightenment," the Portuguese we're known to be some of the worst slave traders. Not that there were any good ones.
No, the worst ones were the Africans who grabbed other Africans to sell them to the Europeans or Arabs or any one willing to buy them. No European went inland to pick any one, They Africans were the ones catching people from other tribes to sell them or change them for goods. Let's use the brain first.

Yeah it was much smaller than we expected!
Please tell me more about the place where you stayed in Almada and ferry company that you used. Thanks!

It’s a very cool bridge! We actually got to see the celebration in Porto on Abril 25! Very fun and thank you for watching 🧡

Awesome ❤
Thanks 🤗

It’s basically ruined ice cream for me forever now 😅 glad to have given you some insight to Lisbon we really liked this charming little city!

Sorry we will try to do that next time. Yea the Sintra guide included the entrance ticket.
@@MaxandJacqueline we're going this October. Maybe I can book the same guide. How much is it?
Hope you guys had a great time in Lisbon!

Three days is just enough to see all the main tourist spots but like anywhere it is always better to stay longer and explore more 🧡

Indeed! They did a lot of bad things in the past but so did a lot of empires 😓
🎉

They're bad
Lisbon is overcrowded and overpriced. You will find better use of your money elsewhere.
The accommodation we stayed at showed how crowded Lisbon is, it was expensive and bad at the same time 😅 but we loved Lisbon regardless 🧡
What time of the year were y'all there?
We visited in May and it was perfect 👌
