Incredible effort, my gosh this is amazing. I saw aerial footage of the dams just before they failed. I have to say it was the most absurd thing I ever saw, one could see how steep and thin this earthen dam was- no one in their right mind could expect the dam to hold. It was as ridiculous as a 'game' of Jenga using cinder-blocks next to an elementary school. The authorities were onto the problem, but should have breached and drained the lakes the same day they found the problem- yes, it was that bad and obvious. Scariest thing I ever saw.

Interesting process with the sheet pile hammer. It looks electric and kind of fun to "drive". Tip: search "acoustic eggcrate foam 2-1/2" on foambymail. If you're going whole hog, "Cross Linked Polyethylene - 2LB - Colors" behind the eggcrate for more bass/thud reduction or just go with one of their fancy shapes. I've bought a lot of foam from these guys over the years. Get the big sheets and cut it yourself. For your gym, the cross-linked polyethylene makes wonderful stretch/exercise mats, are resistant to cleansers, and don't absorb water.
Maybe someone asked you this before , But I was wondering, How in the world did you get access to this construction site? Most foremen would not allow it due to insurance liability. Great video!
Oh yeah, Secord Lake froze over and was covered with a couple inches of snow. The ice fishermen have been out on it already- since Dec. 21st. But with the warm up (50 degrees today, the 30th), they're done for a while.

I have permission from the FLTF to document the progress of rebuilding the dams. I also work closely with Spicer Engineering and Fisher Contracting.
