Great video Gregory! That is true dedication to film in the rain, very nice avocados. Nice taste test, I really want some avocados now, thanks for sharing!
Bacon is one of our favorites, and the tree is beautiful. Here in SoCal we pick ours from mid Oct till the end of February. Any longer on the tree and the bottoms begin to discolor and split. Thx for the videos
Thanks for watching! Yes, getting that perfect timing seems to be the trick. Good oil content but beautiful fruit. Yes, here too the skin starts to look ugly in June but you can eat them then again by then hopefully the other trees like Jan Boyce are kicking in.
Hi mate, good information. I am also in love with growing avocados. and in my area in the north of Spain, I have obtained a very interesting variety of zutano It has a much more colored flesh, yellow and green and with a high oil content, its seeds are 3 times smaller than that of the zutano in your video, and the skin is almost the thickness of the Hass. so it can be considered a highly improved variety of zutano I also have a new variety of half-Mexican hybrid avocado, red in color, which is truly wonderful. It's a shame he can't show you photos here, you would fall in love on the spot :)
Those sound amazing! I am on a Facebook group called NorCal Backyard Avocado Growers. Feel free to join if you are on FB we take everyone. Or perhaps you can make a short video? Thanks for letting me know. Anything that is part Zutano must be tough!
