I feel like Circe knew he was cursed from his undying love for her all along, but because she's Circe she thrived off it. But when she saw what had become of him in the hands of an even more evil person than her and Loki she actually felt empathy, and decided to lift the curse by finally finishing the prom dance that was interrupted back then by the accident.
There's just SO MUCH that make this series so beautiful. You've got: -An army of terrifying looking clones of someone who was once a normal neighbor -An main character who can't hold on to his own face -A floating baby who menacingly appears in random locations -Bigfoot I adore this series
She actually appeared much earlier already, when she ate grilled cheese from the floor in Grilled Cheese Good. Edit: She was the one where Kevin said "She's always one step ahead, the genius!"

Sims 2 is a real trooper, even when it's broken to its bones, it still plays for a long time. Bruh, growing up I only had one installation of the game, and as soon as I became aware of cheats I did everything you shouldn't do. I added Mrs. Crumplebottom and Grim Reaper, and I fricked Unsavory Charlatan, I put in every mod I found remotely interesting without any clue how to properly use or install them (so there was so much junk in my Downloads folder), and it was only years later that my game crashed so often I didn't wanna play anymore, and took too long to load and sometimes didn't start at all, but even then it was still doing better than Sims 3 with all expansions and CC.
Let's all remember that Vidcund brought this all on himself by making himself Kevin's enemy in the first place. If he hadn't interfered every time Kevin used his telescope, this never would have happened to him.

Later, when Zombie Vidcund works at _Grilled Cheese Good_ he's confronted with the Beaker pair serenading for each other, and he gets jealous. Circe does not have sympathy for his miserable state, she probably thinks her awkward ex, as well as his brother Pascal who is her husband's rival, being eyeless, naked zombie slaves is even amusing. But in the finale she comes across Vidcund again. He's not only a zombie, but he has also been shrunken and split in many hellspawn goblins who wreak havoc wherever they go. In the deepest, darkest place of her soul she finds a shred of empathy. She feels... _pity_ for him. She never cared that he still loved her, she found it half annoying, half amusing, and she would never have hesitated to abuse that power over a nerd, but now that she sees what he has become, she gets the sudden urge to end it. So she guides him back to the past. They finally finish their rehearsed slow dance that had been interrupted all these years back. They both remember the steps, after all, learning and remembering always came easy to them. As soon as the dance is finished, they both feel relieved. Vidcund starts to dematerialize, becomes transparent and harder to grasp. When she lets go of his hand, his eyes wander away from hers, and he dissolves into the aether. Also Circe feels like a weight has been lifted, although she finds it hard to explain why.
So Canonically, the real Vidkund actually found love and was able to ascend beyond this hellscape, leaving behind his many fucked up clones to take on his lifetime of torture for him. Cool storyline for Vidkund, and makes it all the MORE fucked up for his poor clones he leaves behind.
Theory: these are the scenarios that played in Kevin’s head during his mental breakdowns due to his failed grilled cheese business. Now the mental breakdowns have gotten so bad that they have warped reality and we are now able to witness them firsthand.
My favorite Sims episode to date. It was like Hieronymus Bosch's Hell with all the little tid bits I could look at. Floating cats, t-posing babies, broken Vidcunds. It was perfect. Thank u Kevin.

Like a decade ago when I was doing a game design internship I rendered an image that glitched out my computer somehow. I sent it to a few colleagues and the bug persisted. Turns out it had partially corrupted and generated a colour the software could process but the hardware couldn't or something. I went into bug testing not animation at the company after that Iol
It almost became a metaphor of how mental ilness untreated can seriously stop you from socialising, working or having a happy life in general. Vidcund's clones are like small pieces of his mind, he tried to fall in love with a girl but his other self sabotaged his happiness. Not to mention how he treats himself like a child and constantly fights with himself and puts himself down, the other Vidcunds aren't real, they are a projection of his hurt mind
I know right! I also interpret it that way. It just fits together perfectly! Kevin unknowingly created the perfect storyline, and I'm becoming convinced that the Sims 2 is sentient. The funny thing is, months ago I made a family too, where Vidcund lives with 7 clones (only I made them all in CAS), and despite them not having a zombie personality it escalated pretty quickly. I also built every room to represent a specific life trauma. There's a creepy, rotten stand-up-comedy room where all the chairs are knocked over and broken, a high school prom room full of mannequins, a small shrine that's half pink walled, half dirty walled, with an easel with a painting of Circe, etc. The Vidcunds are constantly beating each other up, and for some reason there's always a Vidcund doing Standup comedy, with 1-2 Vidcunds always waiting in the doorframe to attack the one on the mic (like he is perpetually beating himself up in his mind for embarassing himself). My headcanon was that he tripped because he accidentally ate something that Lazlo did not intend to give to him. But it's so funny that this clone battle thing is an universal thing with that guy, and even Kevin ended up there. The sentient Sims 2 universe knows Vidcund and will always try to lead the player to fulfill destiny.

Like a decade ago when I was doing a game design internship I rendered an image that glitched out my computer somehow. I sent it to a few colleagues and the bug persisted.
Turns out it had partially corrupted and generated a colour the software could process but the hardware couldn't or something.

this is honestly my favorite kevin series, it all feels like a surreal fever dream that seemingly gets worse each time

It almost became a metaphor of how mental ilness untreated can seriously stop you from socialising, working or having a happy life in general. Vidcund's clones are like small pieces of his mind, he tried to fall in love with a girl but his other self sabotaged his happiness. Not to mention how he treats himself like a child and constantly fights with himself and puts himself down, the other Vidcunds aren't real, they are a projection of his hurt mind
I know right! I also interpret it that way. It just fits together perfectly! Kevin unknowingly created the perfect storyline, and I'm becoming convinced that the Sims 2 is sentient.
The funny thing is, months ago I made a family too, where Vidcund lives with 7 clones (only I made them all in CAS), and despite them not having a zombie personality it escalated pretty quickly. I also built every room to represent a specific life trauma. There's a creepy, rotten stand-up-comedy room where all the chairs are knocked over and broken, a high school prom room full of mannequins, a small shrine that's half pink walled, half dirty walled, with an easel with a painting of Circe, etc.
The Vidcunds are constantly beating each other up, and for some reason there's always a Vidcund doing Standup comedy, with 1-2 Vidcunds always waiting in the doorframe to attack the one on the mic (like he is perpetually beating himself up in his mind for embarassing himself).
My headcanon was that he tripped because he accidentally ate something that Lazlo did not intend to give to him.
But it's so funny that this clone battle thing is an universal thing with that guy, and even Kevin ended up there. The sentient Sims 2 universe knows Vidcund and will always try to lead the player to fulfill destiny.

I love the progressive insanity for this series, we went from trying to kill Vidcun to having 7 clones of toddler adult vidcun fighting. Absolutely perfection.
Kevin is easily one of the youtubers most deserving of his platform, there is not a single video he releases that doesn't make me laugh out loud in my office like an idiot. I always look forward to these uploads!
