This ability doesn't actually quite work that way. It depletes energy in order to summon one grilled cheese, which the sim eats immediately. This will not satisfy the wants to cook it nor can he sell it.

@@dmas7749 Yeah, SCRATCH, ENERGY, FUN and HUNGER. Hygiene is technically there but it pretty much never lowers and bladder they can just pee on the sidewalk. Only sims have an environment need, not pets as it is replaced by scratch need.

When Kevin blows a whistle to gather the cats, it somehow reminded me of the sound of music when the dad blows the whistle to gather his kids hahahha
If someone interested why cat was refusing to eat: he probably had "likes human food" trait, so he wouldn't eat cat food)) Kevin should just give him some grilled cheese and then scold for eating human food a couple time. After that cat would eventually eat a cat food, and you should praise him for that. And voila - the trait would be gone.
They didn't have those as traits in the Sims 2. The Sims 2 pets had 'Genius/Doofus', 'Hyper/Lazy', 'Independent/Friendly', 'Aggressive/Cowardly', and 'Pigpen/Finicky'. Edit: I just realized that you meant 'learned behaviour', not 'trait', and the cat would have to be TRAINED to like pet food. I get it. :)
I thought it was because the food bowls had rotated into the wall/foundation. I always had pets suddenly refusing to eat and when I checked, if their food bowl was against a wall of some kind, it would have to be rotated back around before it was useable again. Very weird

In The Sims 2, I like having a home business where the first floor is a bar with pool tables, darts and such, while the family lives in the back or upstairs. So far it's the most profitable I've managed. Can the cats even get to the food bowls? Perhaps they're positioned wrong or something? I always made sure nothing was beside them.
Kevin just summed up perfectly how it feels working in food service sometimes

First day at McDonald's and we got minor jobs like clean tables. One guy had to clean the bathroom. Someone I guess pooped and spread it all over the walls. Then a few days later a friend was working the till and I guess the coffee order was done wrong and the customer threw it in his face. Learned McDonald's has to be one of the worst jobs a person could ever get.
