When the awards are given for best horror show starring handspun, you'll take home the gold, Becks! I had to have chocolate immediately after viewing. I do love the pattern and the yarn. And you get all the medals for pulling out mohair in the first place, not to mention the lace reknit.
Holy crap! I wish I could have seen your repair slower. I have torn out entire rows so many times as I’m only bold enough to fix one column of stitches at a time. I wish u lived by me. I wish u were my friend,
So happy to see a video from you. I have yet to knit the Love Note or Ranunculus, but I definitely will because they lend themselves so well to pairing laceweight mohair with a fingering weight. I’ve never been successful with extreme sweater surgery where any but the simplest lace work is involved. Your Love Note looks smashing.
Wow dropping down to fix the lace!! I'd give it a go too, but I'm not sure how successful it'd be. You did a great job and looks like a fab project to use some lovely handspun.
Thank you! I’m glad you enjoyed it. I’d made a lot of progress in a single day so I figured if the worst came to the worst I could just rip back to a point before the lace panel so there wasn’t too much to lose. This was the most significant fix I’d ever done on lace but cables can be a fun thing to practice fixing.
I've wanted to make a Love note out of my handspun and hand dyed yarn, but the provisional cast on is not my friend. Do you think it would work by doing the neckline first? My sweater surgery is throwing it across the room, swearing loudly and crying. Then I frog the whole thing and redo. Your surgery was amazing!!!

😂 Thank you! I’ll start writing my acceptance speech now!
I'm absolutely amazed at your skill at stitch surgery.
I didn't even know 'surgery' to that extent was possible. Whoa. :) Thanks for the video and your reflections on the Love Note!
😂 It’s possible… whether it’s advisable or not is an entirely different matter! 😉
Wow! I love the modifications you did and that sweater repair is awesome. Thank you!
You’re welcome - thanks for watching! Glad you enjoyed it.
Yes, super impressive on the surgery. I love how it turned out.❤🎉
Thank you! 😁 I love a bit of challenging sweater surgery!
Love Note has been on my mind for years now; great suggestion to knit one with handspun!!

Wow. Impressive fix! The sweater is beautiful. That's a great color for the pattern and looks lovely on you.

This sweater is definitely in my future 😊
I’d recommend it for sure! 😁

Thanks for another great video!
You’re very welcome! 😊
Wow! That was amazing sweater surgery! i am barely out of the scarf phase and it looked pretty scary!

I love doing the Oslo hat with fingering held with mohair. On my 3rd!! Give it a hook. Doing the Lovenote soon. 😊
