Thanks for sharing this vlog. Your section on bust darts was very helpful and does make it seem not too nerve-racking to do. I'll have to try this on my next project. You state that bust darts should begin 1-2 inches beneath the underarm. Would this apply for all construction types - raglan or drop shoulder?

Glad you found it helpful! With different construction types, it will depend on how low the armholes are on the sweater. Another way to think about it is that you want to place the darts at the fullest part of your bust. So if you have a drop shoulder with a deep yoke, 1-2 inches beneath the underarm may be too low. I've used the 1-2 inch guideline on a fitted raglan and that worked well for me, but again, if it's a deep yoke raglan, I might adjust that.
The most accurate thing to do is measure the length between your full bust + actual underarm, then account for whatever underarm ease is included in your pattern (this measurement should be in the schematic). If it's top-down, you can also try on the sweater as you knit and start the darts when the sweater is almost at your full bust.

Great video❤. Thank you for explaining how to measure for bust darts, I’ve always struggled with that. I’ve done a couple of patterns with bust darts but my front is till raised than my back, don’t know if it’s my row gauge that’s messing up the desired length or if I’m not adding enough inches to the front😅. I guess it’s still a learning experience.
