well yeah people just fucking hate EVERY new character nowadays. You get people that even say goddamn LEO is broken because they saw ONE player play them well once and they're a character who isn't from the 90s.
You ever see the movies where the hero and a bad guy are fighting in front of an airplane propeller, and the bad guy gets sucked in and chopped up? The propeller is Hwoarang's legs.
I love how he says that hwoarang has been built throughout the course of various Tekken games and that's why, having started with lots of moves, he now has a ton, and then there's kazuya who has like 7 lol
There’s nothing wrong with Hworang having a bunch of moves, the problem is the fast frames, increased damage on his moves, ridiculous armored power crush moves and possibly the most rage arts in the game for one character outside of Lei wulong.

At the end of the day, new players genuinely learning Tekken have to jump many multiple hurdles for Hwoarang to be a fair matchup, defending and knowing when to strike vs him is easily one of the hardest things in Tekken. If Hwaorang gets reworked for a simpler but still effective movelist, I know then that Harada will be putting all players first, not just those who have played Tekken for 5+ years.

Hwo is one of those character i will always lose against unless the hwo just doesn't know what hes doing or pure luck.I just got spammed with his U 4 last night but i kinda blame myself for that i didn't know what else to do besides parry the low as sidestepping low jabs and wr wasn't working but i must have been timing it wrong cause i was only able to parry one time and the rest was just me eating it.I don't like guessing games i always guess wrong and thats what hwo is just like MM said.
If anything we need complexity in modern characters and not take away from these characters. Change the property of existing moves not remove everything

It's much more productive generally to focus on what you should learn/practice next than be sad because things/tekken characters aren't what you think they should be.
Having cheap moves=OP character is the norm in Tekken afterall. Hwoarang is B tier (mostly) tho with all his gifts and weaknesses so... Why. So. Much. Hate? With knowlege on your enemy character and your skill you can beat anyone. I guess it takes a lot to learn him? That's why TMM dislikes the long moveset. Understandable. I don't want the movesets to shorten tho. Many chars have BS+long movelists.
@clxxd999 In many pro players' tiers he is in B. But I would agree with low A. Frame advantage, d34, backlash, high damage, mix ups, throw game. Ofc. His weaknesses are much less in comparison.

Been playing since T2 and I completely agree this game is entirely unbalanced. That's why there are channels dedicated to pointing out the flaws in it.
