I have never even considered doing a loop to loop by putting the reel through the backing knot. I always just unspool the whole fly line to get the other end like an idiot. Thank you so much

So, a SA Sonar Trout Express…is this another 210gr for your 6wt, or are you trying a different line weight? I ask because I recently got the 210gr for a 6wt on the recommendation of SA and the rod feels well over loaded. There isn’t much info out there about these lines and yours are the only videos that I have seen feature them.

I use the 210g on my 6 weight and it fished beautifully

FYI - The 185GR is rated as a 5/6 and the 210GR is rated as a 6/7, so it all depends on the rod action you have.
