Maruti 800 is a small city car that was manufactured by Maruti Suzuki in India from 1983 to 18 January 2013. The first generation (SS80) was based on the 1979 Suzuki Fronte and had an 800 cc F8B engine, hence the moniker. Widely regarded as the most influential automobile in India, about 2.87 million 800s were produced during its course of which 2.66 million were sold in India itself. From 1984 until replaced in 1986, the four-door SS80 Fronte was built in India by Maruti as the "800".

I still have my grand parents Maruti 800 1986 with me same model and it came with same sky-blue colour. Still runs like a charm.

Really thank you for this beautiful review of the most beautiful car on INDIAN roads.. this is my favorite car .. and you covers all the points why it is my favorite.. on adition .. it is the most comfortable car and provide more confidence to drive it in narrow roads.. my 800 gives me 18 KMPL milage and it's legacy is unmatched. I had 2008 model Maruti 800.. such a beautiful car .. noo major repairs goes like smooth butter .. and sold it for 150000 rs in 2018 ... I miss my car sooo much

@@nou7401 Nah I like the look and style of cheap boxy old cars, like the yugo or fiat 127 or maruti 800. They also all seem robust and reliable which is great too. I also like smaller stuff, like small pistols or rocks are interesting to me too.
