Ghana has initiated a movement to reconnect West African descendants in the diaspora with their roots. I understand this effort extends beyond Ghana to all of West Africa. I find myself deeply tempted to pack up my house, put my possessions in storage, rent out my home, and leave. This country has never truly been for us. Never. The urge to return to where I truly belong is strong, and I’m convinced it wouldn’t take long for us to re-acclimate to the culture of our original motherland. That culture is already within us. It lives in our food, our music, our dance, our celebrations, and our worship. We are Africa-though we were torn away from what should have been ours. And now, I feel more tempted than ever to go back. Because why am I still fighting for a place in America when it feels like every effort is being made to remind us that we’re not wanted here?
Stop trying to make sense of wickedness. Get your funds from these jobs and come out from among them. The folks giving you all the grief have a severe inferiority complex. No amount of professionalism on your part is going to fix that. Don't let demons make you crazy. The second woman... maybe you need to just get out of there as soon as feasibly possible.
Keep building the white man’s world yes keep going to make his life better! Hmmmm how about directing that energy to you highly intelligent black women to help build and create a better world for our people
Nothing short of selling your soul to nefarious corporate capitalists is expected. More so when you’re a black woman and likely your body too, to rise in the work place. There is no success that will leave black women emotionally intact and physically strong. The only way is to create your business and know that your principles and values will determine your success, and not to be determined by users and abusers.

I know about anybody else. But I am tired of working my fingers to the bone making the white man's fevered dreams come true.
