    Great comprehensive tutorial! I was searching videos to check fuel pressure (without Schrader valve) and stumbled on this. I didn't think it was the driver AGAIN, considering it was replaced two years ago. I just bought a new one and plugged it in to see and it worked. I think this time, I will coat the housing and frame with POR-15 and stand it off like the revised models. Again, Awesome video!

    Excellent job at explaining the problem didn't need any expensive test equipment just a test $5.00 test light.

    Great video!!! I was looking for a video that would show my how to bypass the FPDM and check the fuel pump and luckily found yours. You saved the day! It was the FPDM as you suggested it might be. Sure was nice to hear the fuel pump run! I was dreading that job. I had just filled my tank (36 gal)! Thanks for taking the time to share your knowledge!

    This video was extremely helpful. Had a bad fpdm. Replaced the fuel pump before I found this video. The car was no start condition. Replaced the fpdm started right up. I had no engine light or anything that would suggest it was a bad fpdm. The vehicle was a 2005 ford escape, 2wd, 3 litre. Hope this saves somebody time and money. If you drive a ford truck start with this before replacing your pump. Good luck and happy fixing

      Joe Camel I’m suspecting same with my f150. Cranks, no start and not getting fuel. Have no codes or cel, so thanks for confirming it might not throw a code. This is a very straightforward, helpful video! Don’t know what I’d do without TH-cam help.

      @@HowardOchs I unfortunately still replaced the fuel pump before I found this video. However this video is as solid as they come. And if you go step by step you should know 100% if this is your issue. I couldn't have done it without this video. If the underside of your car looks anything like mine did, then this could very well be it. And if you live anywhere near the middle east we have had rain for a week straight and flooding and everything. So if you suspect water could have gotten in the fpdm that should also be a big clue. Hope you get it sorted. Good luck

    Thank you for the detailed, technical information. Have any idea what to look for when all that is good, but still no fuel pressure? Fuse good, relays good. But no power getting back to that driver module. The truck will run, and everything working fine one minute. Next minute, it won't have any fuel pressure. Somewhere it is loosing power. Could it be a bad computer???

    Considering that Ford has used several color codes for the wiring, but the connector is common to many vehicles, the hand sketch of the connector pinout is worth 20 videos!

    will that light work by placing the probe where the red wire comes out of the connector going to the fuel pump ?

    I have intermittent low fuel pressure. The fuel pump did die and was replaced with a new assembly (Delphi) and the fuel filter (Motorcraft) was replaced at the same time. Fuel pressure is usually 40 PSI (according to my scan tool) but sometimes it drops below 25 PSI and it even dropped to 0. I have replaced the fuel rail pressure sensor with a Standard part. There have been occasions where the pressure went to 60 PSI. What do you think the problem is? There is a Fuel Pump Driver Module that hasn't been replaced, also. There are no codes right now but when the fuel pump died I did get a P1233. The car drives OK except for some jerkiness when cruising at a particular speed. 2002 Ford Mustang GT 4.6L(2v). Kind of difficult to diagnose an intermittent problem that doesn't trip a code.

    yes , Do Not replace the fuel pump first, try the relay , fuse and then , FP driver module . easy easy fix. and low cost , found behind the spare tire on E150

    Great video! I have a 2006 E450 (was a Uhaul) went through the steps, had power at the white after crossing the negatives, then jumped the positives and blew a fuse. My truck is different of course. I have 2 fuse panels. Do not have one on the passenger lock panel. Any idea the name of the fuse that popped?

    When you bypass will it start or not when i put the module on fuel pump runs for 2 seconds and stops but when i bypass it runs for a little bit

    Does anyone know why I have power at pin 5 with key on but with test light I loose it. But relay power up front test good with light

      It should be. Unless you have something else that is causing the no start issue.

    I bypassed the driver because I have 0psi koeo but running is 15 psi , but when I bypass it I only get 5 psi koeo

    new fuel pump driver will not actuate. Still hard to start. Once started, engine purrs like a kitten. What's going on?
