If you wanna see more cut content, we now have access to beta and test maps! There's an entire Beta Crash Site map where the plane crashed into a temple by a volcano, and the whole thing is a lot less linear.
Finally! So that was the game! It always amazes me when I discover what games influenced the making of a particular game, and looking now at StarTropics, I can see the elements Richard Ham and the team have used to make PTLE. I'm glad you enjoyed the video!
I feel very gratefull that a friend randomly brought this game to my house, otherwise I would've had no way of discovering this gem that is part of my favorite games ever!
I had stayed up until 2-3 AM last night playing this classic. Something that I always loved was its subtle hints towards secrets. As early as the crash site with the the tracks from Bittenbinder's vehicle
Happy to see another Pitfall fan! The way I discovered was by looking through some of my uncle's abandoned game discs. So I just inserted it in and started playing. Three days later and I find myself looking at the credit screen. Unfortunately, a sequel was never greenlit nor did it start production. The nail in the coffin was the Wii port which performed very badly...
Im gonna go ahead & assume that after so long & after taking off my own rose tinted glasses on this game, it wont be remastered officially. However, Activision now being owned by Xbox, maybe making a new one gets tried out.
I would love to be as optimistic as you, but I'm keeping my hopes low. Still, it would be nice to see what Activision would do if they ever made another 3D Pitfall. I'd love to see a Crash Bandicoot cameo in there too. Because....why not?

Keep up the good work.
I think he was referring to StarTropics by the tropical island game, thanks for the video!

Very awesome video, improved a lot. The audio from start to finish is good too.
Trying to always improve, and not suck midway through!
