There aren't enough people in this world like Harry anymore; he was something very special. I often wonder what he would think of the mess we've made of the world he left 30 years ago.
Harry would have been one of the first to help Haiti and the countries devastated by the tsnaumi,he was one of the bbest humanitarians,I wish my haert was half as big as his
My older sister was going to the University of Colorado in Bolder in the mid 70's and saw Harry Capin perform. SHe said that he was really down to earth and gave a great show. If she had lived to know her baby brother (Me) would love the same music she did, she would freak out....LOL. RIP Harry. You were and are 1 Hell of a Great talent.
A simpler time and place although we may not have known it then... Harry was the ultimate and there will never be anything that compares to the joy and happiness he brought....thanks for posting
Miss and love you Harry. As a Long Islander and as a person I'm so proud of all you did and continue to do for hunger on LI through Long Island Cares and the world through World Hunger Year.

Thank you for this precious video of Harry Chapin in concert! I loved this man! I saw him in concert in 1980, and 1981, about 2 months before his death! I even got to shake his hand after the concert in 1980, talk to him briefly, and take pictures of him and his brother, Tom Chapin, his father, etc! Thanks again, BobbyK
I was fortunate enough to see him in 1979. A small venue, and a wonderful concert!
thanks for post'n ~ Great video! *****
how can you listen to this song and not smile and cry…….in the words of Jim Valvano……"thats a full day"

The audience is really not into this.
Either that or they don't understand English.

This song will live on, Harry Chapin's voice is unique, and the words are timeless.
