My mage warden Amell is just crazy about her, he adores his Morrigan and his adoration for her will be with him until the end.

I feel like the child Kieran will end up being a main character in a future game. Having the soul of an old god is a prime background to introduce a main character

Did you know that mage Amell and Hawke are cousins, mage Amell being the son of Leandra Hawke sister Revka? Leandra confirms this and says that mage Amell is his sister's son, so Morrigan is Hawke sister-in-law and Kieran's his nephew.
You're right, my mistake, I apologize, but nevertheless, mage Amell and Hawke are related to each other and consequently Morrigan and Kieran are thus related to Hawke too, albeit very distantly.
Might be reading into it but Morrigan's reason for not being present when confronting Flemeth is a cool foreshadowing of the Dark Ritual. She sees her mother as an abomination so it stands to reason she'd think Flemeth extends her life the same way as archdemons.
Morrigan romance is similar to Yennefer, both start out being the b!tch from hell then by the end of the story they turn out to be the best waifu ever lol

@@nekonso2770There's this idea that realism is a virtue. Realism is a tool like any other: useful at times while completely counterproductive during others.
Warning.... Spoilers........ huh. This is the first time I saw the event unfold like that. Did not know Flemeth can take the soul of the old god without harming Kieran. My playthrough went through a drama between Morrigan and Flemeth and ended in the greatest dialogue Morrigan ever made, " I will not be a mother like you were to me", roughly. This b***hslapped Flemeth so hard she left without doing anything, reporting the failure to Silas/the wolf god and Flemeth dying at the end of the game.
Tbf, DA2 didnt feel like a game. It was "we will make hawke - the absolute moron that will mess up relationships with Qunari, escalate Mage vs Templar conflict, bring Red lyrium into the world, free Corypheus and causes tension between Free marches and Orlais to be as big as possible while walking around town mass slaughtering to the point where he probably murdered like 5% of Kirkwall" kind of game that made only issues so that Inquisition could come into existence BUT it was literally about nothing and had no other purpose.
@@Dark_VoiceIn my playthrough of DA2 it didn't feel like Hawke was the one messing everything up, instead it felt like no matter what my Hawke did everything was still getting worse. @@fugustogamer7512 Yes exactly. Hawke's story is very realistic compared to the usual "chosen ones" we see in RPGs. One man will hardly be able to change events that have been set in motion because of so many other factors. Unfortunately, most people only want a power fantasy and did not truly appreciate the story DA2 was trying to tell.
The balanced road is neither light nor dark. Straight nor twisted. To walk it means to have faith. Faith requires Sacrifice. Sacrifice does not exist without love.
She lived out in the Wilds in Felmeth, travelled with the Grey Wardens and found the truth about Felmeth, she found love which was completely foreign to her, had a normal child with the Warden (Sacrificed Logain, sorry Alister), went through the Eluvian with the Warden and stayed as a family with their son for a while. Then continued to look after their son while the Warden searched for a cure for the taint so they can live together longer. Then comes Veilguard and none of what I described happened, what was the point of even having Morrigan in Veilguard aside from fan service (a very poorly executed one).
Doesn't Morrigan also remind you of Lulu from Final Fantasy X? They're so similar in many ways. Similar appearance, both are mages, both have this cold facade, both of them even end up becoming mothers.
dragon age franchise is my second favorite games behind the Mass effect franchise... so the other day I did a play through where I romance little Yana and wanted to do another play through where I romance Morrigan... no I did approach her a lot of times and it ended up sleeping with her but I feel like I was still in the friendship zone with Morgan.. right before you face the two generals and you pick your last crew to fight the arch demon in my playthrough she called me her friend and I feel like that wasn't right because I really wanted a romance her so that way I could play dragon age 2 and dragon age inquisition you know with each backstory.. so I don't know what I did wrong but I think I have to talk to her all the time because in my playthrough I talked to her a lot less.. but I guess now I know that you have to keep talking to her and every time she has something different to say you have to engage with that so thank you for this video I do appreciate it
I don't play Dragon Age ( don't have the devices) but..Morrigan reminds me a lot of Viconia from Baldur's gate. At least Morrigan's fate seems to be better than Viconia's if you decided to finish her romance.
Why is this story so much better than anything that came after? Just finished BG3 and it’s like 1/10 of the story and characters arc compared to DA. This is just soooo good, I’m terrified to think that we might not see continuation due to financial or any other circumstances BioWare is now in. Hero’s of Ferelden quest to overcome the Calling, Elven Gods and their revenge, Tevinter and all its blood magic stuff - there are so many stories to be told, it would be so unfair to lose this universe due to “bad perception of Inquisition” by some ijits.
I didn´t watch BG3 yet so I cannot stablish that comparison. Even so, I suppose that how the characters are presented and how their conflicts are executed truly shines. Alistair and his troubles with Mages, Morrigan and her self-discovery (the sentiment of love if you decide to romance her or to make her a mother), Leliana and her fall to a less "sparky" person on Inquisition, etc.
Still to this day i adore the conversation when she reveals she loves the Warden, its heartbreaking to hear though when she says i am not like other women i am not worth your distraction and how you can tell she doesnt believe it when she says you are not worth mine.
Dragon age origins a true legendary game. Inquisition is nothing to compare to this. Origins was built in its narrative and a trully excellent RPG. Inquisition has tons of tedious meaningless sidequests that you need to do in order to get power to progress with the story. Inquisition would have been so much better if the Origins blueprint was followed. Focused on its narrative where the sidequests are deep and rewarding. Where it doesn't feel like it's a side quest. That it actually matters. People gave too much credit for the DAI and it got the GOTY award. Developers thought they can get away with Andromeda, so they copy pasted the formula. Unfortunately, it did not work. Thank you The Witcher 3 for setting a new standard of how an rpg should be. I wish they remastered DAO.
The good old days, even Bioware doesn't capture this character development anymore. Countless hours of conversation with a well thought out character, unique details only accessible through certain decisions and choices. Real world building and immersion like this just doesn't exist anymore.
I don't really get why Morrigan wanted a son to be possessed by the soul of the Archdemon. What was she raising Kieran to be? Once Flemeth took it and was seemingly destroyed by Solas, what is to become of Morrigan? Is she now off with the Warden somewhere? Will she be back to aid the heroes defeat Solas in the next game?
I played this game for a whole summer back when I was 14 and I would have NEVER guessed that to sleep with her you had to annoy her with back to back questions, and boom, just like that it's done, right then and there in the camp What THE HELL I'm honestly shoked
Both the Leliana and Morrigan romance are so well done. Leliana is much more of idealized love. Someone who sweet and kind, and stays by your side no matter what. Morrigan is much more complex and tragic in away. A seemingly heartless woman discovering she has a heart and learned to love. Despite that she is a slave to her purpose and can't be happy with her love no matter what.
Morrigan is the o ly fictional character thats made me understanf those people that obssess over 'waifus.' For morrigan is my wife and real women cant compete

I romanced Morrigan in my first playthrough and quite enjoyed it right up to the point where she suggested having a child and then I was like "Nah, suicide is better." Not that I needed to do that, I spared Loghain and made him kill the archdemon so I lived on happy and childless. Next playthrough I'll marry Alistair and become queen, that seems like the best possible romance / ending, specially considering how it affects DA2 and DAI. I do hope they won't screw any of this up in DA4 Dread Wolf like they did with Mass Effect and KOTOR before that.

Morrigan is Love Morrigan is Life, still my #1 Waifu of all time, the fact she’s the only character you can have a family with from Origins is all the more sweeter
Alistair killing Flemeth like a badass, but he still can't handle swooping.
@Ragvarok yes, swooping... is bad.
Let’s be real with how op our wardens are (with the game and dlcs) they would’ve bodied our inquisitors if they were there at adimant fortress
Yes they would have!!! 💀💀💀
before the game came out people were saying this and i said, inquistor is nothing without his hadn, and warden would just chop it.......solas did just that lol.
37:44 for you guys out there who want to see the action.
I love this type of women and those who resemble this type, I'm crazy about them, I'm drawn to them like a magnet, Morrigan,Miranda Yennefer, etc. Cold, sometimes sarcastic and distant in appearance, but warm and loving when you get to know them, showing their soft side only to those they really respect, appreciate and love. My mage warden Amell is just crazy about her, he adores his Morrigan and his adoration for her will be with him until the end.
Bioware´s biggest crime is that Vivienne isn´t romanceable. I feel even in her friendship path , she doesn´t open up a lot and neither shows a vulnerable side to the PC in high approval.
You did literally the same kind of comment in Miranda's romance video Lol
V-Trigger
So??? The essence has not changed from this and I have not changed, I still love this type of women and it is completely natural that I wrote the same under the video of Miranda Lawson.
@@joseph6972 Perhaps in DA4
@@v-trigger6137 Ive made this type of comment on Miranda's, Yennefer's and Morrigan vids too. Thats exactly the point - sometimes the kindest and most loyal people are those that dont seem like it. Especially Miranda and Yennefer are women you could bet your life that they would be there for you if you truly needed them. Morrigan less so.
These women that have high bar you gotta cross in order for them to respect you BUT once you do, you get their FULL respect and they would dive to a burning house about to explode to save you. Often the happy go lucky easier women change as quickly as you got them.
This was how a real romance shoudve been in veilguard.
yep the old BioWare romance is real and mature, the veilguard romance just is
I feel like the child Kieran will end up being a main character in a future game. Having the soul of an old god is a prime background to introduce a main character
Only problem is what about the people who didn't go through the Dark Ritual? Bioware probably wouldn't do something so decisive and alienate their player base. I feel Kieran will written off as a side character. Which is in itself, is a huge missed opportunity. I hope I am wrong though, feels like a wasted opportunity having his old God soul taken from him
@@leoniduscousland230 yup I agree having the soul of an old god would be great to use in the making of an important character in the future. BioWare would be foolish not to take an advantage of that
@@GMJG4K I can't wait for DA4. I think Kieran will be absent from DA4 as it makes no sense for him to be there unless there's a time skip and he's grown up looking for Solas or Flemeth to retrieve his lost soul. But I would like see the Urthermiel side a little more, maybe the Tevinter people would worship him as the second coming of their gods.
@Ragvarok I hope so, but I hope he doesn't turn out to be like Anders. ☠
@Ragvarok I hope Kieran inherit traits from his father, a love for cheese from Alistair, hatred of Orlesians from Loghain, and the savage responses from the HOF. Also, another amazing thing would be if he grew up and resembled Alistair to Morrigan's dismay. 😂
53:41 - How pissed off would Morrigan be if you could tell her Alistair was the one to deliver the finishing blow on Flemeth, though?
Considering she got Flemeth's grimorie, she won't mind for very long. Hopefully.
@@Proxy_Oka It could cause some funny dialogues, but She would appreciate the job done anyways. She wanted Flemeth death one way or another.
Who's here after veil guard?
Me, my expectations were low, but damn am I in the mood for another Origins run.
I should have listened. ....
Me. I had to wash the bad taste of Californian-sounding Qunari and barely-there romance out of my ears with genuinely good dialogue 1:09:30
"Yes swooping is... bad" gatta love the interractions between Morrigan and Alistar
Nothing beats the witty dialogue of origins. It's better than BG3. This is by far one of the best RPGs ever made.
We really need a Legendary Edition for Dragon Age Games, they are so good and deserve it
Mann I need more flemmeth Plot like on every game similar to this. When you thought shes an enemy then you think again, and once again you will still think and doubt if shes really an enemy or not. This is one of the best part of the game in inquisition that i like for me
I wish BioWare would remaster this like mass effect
Ya. Have the main player talk.
@@xs0528 noooooooooooooooooo. why would i want to hear another person's voice in an rpg?
@@krschu00 It's more immersive imo. Silent protagonist feels like a mute ragdoll with no life. Voice actors breath the essence of life into the characters they voiced. I can't imagine a mute renegade Shepard without Jennifer Hale.
@@ph4kiew If you see your dialogue option word for word instead of wheel then hearing yourself read it in your head should feel like the protagonist saying it. At least for me, I won't speak for you. If they do muted protag and wheel then i agree it is a ragdoll. voiced protag has life sure, but not my life.

Wow. Flemeth is just the coolest. Shes the witch of the wilds. A Russian woman in prision, and a captain of a star ship.
Love her.
Man I have a real itch to go back and replay these games. I need a remaster for Origins and Dragon Age 2.
I can see this happening with Dragon age 4 announcement
DAO yes, an entire level redesign and overhaul is needed for DA2 though.
Remake. Why all of you insist in remaster? it's just add shadows and lightning, the gameplay will be the same.
@@theknifaholic And complete re write
@@adeptdamage3669 the idea wasn't bad, they just need to do some voice lines again, maps, and maybe new dlc to expand. It was by far the worst of the DA games

this game needs a full 100% remake without any new bullshit added. just needs updated graphics thats it!
Did you know that mage Amell and Hawke are cousins, mage Amell being the son of Leandra Hawke sister Revka? Leandra confirms this and says that mage Amell is his sister's son, so Morrigan is Hawke sister-in-law and Kieran's his nephew.
Leandra and revka are cousins not sisters.
My favorite "I can fix her" romance in gaming
Morrigan romance is similar to Yennefer, both start out being the b!tch from hell then by the end of the story they turn out to be the best waifu ever lol
From an "evil" witch who loved to hurt everyone with insults.. to an actual careful and "dedicated" mother.
"Western female characters being uglier than JRPGs ones" hm?..
One of my favorite female characters in RPGs. She is the type.. I could feel entranced for.
Thats because jrpg characters dont look like real people at all
@@SPACEHARICE Good thing games are escapism then, eh?
@@Ragitsu every time hyper-realism is sought in the game like the GTA, so it is not very escapism, but it can be irrelevant, ridiculous, funny and fantastical, but I do not know why they say that western women in rpg are ugly when they can become more attractive than a disproportionate anime girls with horrible or cringe English dubbing. morrigan and leliana have aged like fine wine and improved the design, the inquisitor... yeah, somewhat aesthetically ugly
@@nekonso2770There's this idea that realism is a virtue. Realism is a tool like any other: useful at times while completely counterproductive during others.
@@RagitsuExactly, that's why these anime blow up dolls type models are completely ridiculous when trying to tell a grounded story.
Whatever people say about DA : Inqusition, Morrigan's character grow up drastically.
Morrigan always giving off the best presentation
I want her to have an important part in DA4. If she get's pushed back like they did her in DA2. I will be furious.
For example: I feel like you should have easily have been able to get the opportunity to save your mother, but no matter what choices you make, she will die.
When I first saw this because I have never realized that she was in inquisition, I was massively shocked and heartbroken that I never knew until now
You've never played inquisition?
I missed a lot in the game like apparently that dull elf was a God like wait what the heck did I miss
Never forgot my first kiss with morrigan it was in Lothering bridge great view still love that witch
Morrigan in Veilguard was not fan service, it is bait to lure in the Dragon Age fans.
@@Khobotov ah, yes, wrong choice of words on my part, i forgot Veilguard has no fan service, only fan disservice.
Morrigan is DA's best girl.
I recognize Claudia Black's voice instantly. Awesome.
Also the voice actor for Keiran is Claudia Black's real life son.
Why is this recommended to me, now I'm sad the warden doesn't even get a codex entry in veilguard.
I once dated a girl who looked exactly like morrigan. Down to the same jaw line, not like these cosplayers. She was equally as toxic
This specific storyline.... pretty much the only reason why I held onto Dragon Age. Well up until whatever pathetic HR meeting they released now.
Doesn't Morrigan also remind you of Lulu from Final Fantasy X? They're so similar in many ways. Similar appearance, both are mages, both have this cold facade, both of them even end up becoming mothers.
It's insane to me that she looks better than any female companion from upcoming Veilguard...
we need the warden in dragon age 4
Ya!
I believe he is canonically dead, the official ending is that he died defeating the Archdemon
I love Morrigan.
Morrigan gives me a small resemblance of Yennefer from The Witcher if you really think about it.
Could you imagine If our warden showed up in inquisition as felmeth had morrigan begging. What a return that would of been
dragon age franchise is my second favorite games behind the Mass effect franchise... so the other day I did a play through where I romance little Yana and wanted to do another play through where I romance Morrigan... no I did approach her a lot of times and it ended up sleeping with her but I feel like I was still in the friendship zone with Morgan.. right before you face the two generals and you pick your last crew to fight the arch demon in my playthrough she called me her friend and I feel like that wasn't right because I really wanted a romance her so that way I could play dragon age 2 and dragon age inquisition you know with each backstory.. so I don't know what I did wrong but I think I have to talk to her all the time because in my playthrough I talked to her a lot less.. but I guess now I know that you have to keep talking to her and every time she has something different to say you have to engage with that so thank you for this video I do appreciate it
“Can you cook?” The question
I married a chick who’s exactly like this so I realized 10 years later. Clearly I have some issues
I don't play Dragon Age ( don't have the devices) but..Morrigan reminds me a lot of Viconia from Baldur's gate.
At least Morrigan's fate seems to be better than Viconia's if you decided to finish her romance.
I loved Viconia and Jaheira and Aeri! And Boo 😂
OAO I JUST FUCKIN REALIZED WE MIGHT GET A FLEMETH VS SOLAS BATTLE IN THE NEXT DRAGON AGE. GAME OAO!!!! THATLL BE EPIC! A BATTLE OF GODS!
Morrigan Yennefer Bayonetta…
Something about brunettes man… 🥰😍😘
I see you're a man of culture
Bayonetta has black hair.
They all have black hair...
Dude, your warden looks like Daveths pretty, younger and much more alive brother. 🤣
Yeah. I played DAO just recently after completing BG3 and was astonished how superior DAO was.
I agree, I keep hearing everyone rave over bg3 and i expected it to be the greatest thing ever and after was like "didn't hold a candle to DA:O" 😅
Ho boy do I have some news...
1:09:48 im just going to assume your dog comes with you when you join Morrigan
The dog is non negotiable. Kieran presumably loves his new fluffy friend.
The good old days, even Bioware doesn't capture this character development anymore. Countless hours of conversation with a well thought out character, unique details only accessible through certain decisions and choices. Real world building and immersion like this just doesn't exist anymore.
Okay the whole letter thing was cute as hell 😍
Morrigan.. literally everyone's waifu 😅
Flemeth sounds like she's played by Kate Mulgrew
She is
Flemeth seems kind of cryptic and crazy here, but its a total foreshadowing of who she actually is and what she is preparing for.
Her voice actress confirmed on Twitter that she won’t be in the next game, so we can only speculate on what Morrigan’s up to
I'm okay with him not being in it but as long as he can impact the story in some other major way
I played this game for a whole summer back when I was 14 and I would have NEVER guessed that to sleep with her you had to annoy her with back to back questions, and boom, just like that it's done, right then and there in the camp
What THE HELL
I'm honestly shoked
Morrigan: I will show you out of the woods.
Few seconds later, wakes up naked in bed, with Morrigan watching. XD
Still angrys me to this day what they did Kirian they really took the easy road instead the greater more interesting road like exploring what he could he been to the story
just the banter in this game is longer than skyrim dialogues
Main character looks like gigachad
that is how you present a new character. How much I miss DAO. such interesting story. so many dialog options. its sad we will never have another game like this.
God i like morrigan
My City Elf Warden: *Ruthless and craving freedom after hating the Alienage and being trapped in it*
Morrigan: *Heart set on fire*

The face does a great job indeed
It’s called aging lol. Shes in her early 20s in DA:O and 30+ in DA:I
@@gd88467 So... in theory, can we call Morrigan a milf? She is/can be mother after all :O

i want morrigan to slap me
Really?
I only love her romance with Male Warden. Her romance is so strong and powerful from any other. That's why, I her romance with Male Warden is always my favourite.
oh , i love morrigan .... always....
I romanced Morrigan in my first playthrough and quite enjoyed it right up to the point where she suggested having a child and then I was like "Nah, suicide is better."
Not that I needed to do that, I spared Loghain and made him kill the archdemon so I lived on happy and childless.
Next playthrough I'll marry Alistair and become queen, that seems like the best possible romance / ending, specially considering how it affects DA2 and DAI.
I do hope they won't screw any of this up in DA4 Dread Wolf like they did with Mass Effect and KOTOR before that.
Welll.. considerating what we saw of DA4, that could go REALLY bad. So.. how it went your playthrough of Alistair? He has the time of his life if you kill Loghain and marry Alistair in the process.

31:49 Guess that's where Mythal came to her.
Everytime I see some Inquisition talk - it feels like the characters were paralyzed, time stopped and all they can do is talk - no body movement, no body language and absolutely nothing showing any sort of emotion or involvement (unless its a cutscene).
That's just their banter outside of SkyHold.

??
Or even if they can't have the warden for the whole game they should have the warden appear near the ending where he helps with the final fight
" - The Grey Wardens are leaving shortly, girl. And you will be joining them.

Also, in fact, you doesn't need to do the ritual. If you romanced her, and doesn't take Morrigan to the final battle, she will leave, true, but she would be already pregnant with your child.
So I would try this, but I cannot hear Claudia Black and not think Aeryn Sun is talking, and John and Aeryn belong together.
