Hey man I would love to see a follow up video on how to create legato lines which make actual sense? It seems like I got some of the patterns down but I can't seem to make musical stuff out of them
One of the biggest thing I struggle with is relaxing the left hand to allow for smoother playing...I gather it just takes time...I do, indeed, get tired quickly when attempting this type of playing and as well tend to avoid incorporating it...I need to really work on it...
One more thing I should have mentioned in this video is that if you do tense up, it’s important to slow down for a moment and use your fingers as lightly and delicately as possible. Don’t get carried away and play 1000nps just yet 😋
Darryl Syms Maaannn!!! You're just awesome! And I think you deserve more fame and subs.... I learn so much from you in short span of time! Keep up the good work!!!
@@DarrylSyms 1:01 “see as I ascended the scale there” and a few seconds later “context”….mild, but Scottish 😂 still, seriously…where’s the accent(s) from? 😂
😆 it’s a mystery to us all 💁♂️😉 If I told you, you’d be underwhelmed (and it doesn’t really reflect where I grew up anyway) so let’s keep the magic of suspense 😂
I almost fainted with the first lick SO GOOD
🤪💛
Sweetness dude ... pure sweetness. Legato has always been my fave & go-to.
4:40. Great stuff. Cheers! Keep it up

Left hand for people disliked 3:09
this is a great lesson. succinct. subbed.
I was putting way too much pressure on my left hand index finger. Speed breakthrough!!! \m/
Is that a paul Gilbert autograph? He's one of my heroes!
Yessir! Paul, Guthrie, Timmons, Nick Johnston, Christophe Godin, Tom Quayle
Hey Darryl, nice video as always! BTW what type of studio monitor you got there?
Thanks James! M Audio BX5’s 🙂
I have created a legato pattern. But the problem for me is I can’t play it to 280 bpm. Is that too fast
Yep.
😍😍😍
What’s with the short shorts man. Good videos
Hahaha
Noot noot squad here!!!

That’s very kind, thanks Abbas 🙂 Enjoy!
Completely unrelated but I can’t place the accent…I can hear Scottish, American, English, Oz…
I’ll never understand when people say Scottish 😆

Thank you sir 😆🤘
is he not wearing pants?
Yes he is. He lives in the tropics, so appreciates some good airflow.
