Never met or heard this fella before, some of the comments I can relate too, but something Adam Penning said yrs ago, no matter what rig you use, if the carp is in a feeding mood and likes what it can sence in the water coming from the bait, it will try to eat it, no matter if there is a hook attached, and a moving fish is more catchable than a stationary one…… but for a thinking angler this was a good podcast….

Absaloutely brilliant just shows how different methods and different thoughts of how rig mechanics work in terms of bait and how effective different anglers can be in there own experiences love this deffo get me thinking a bit different on the bank 💯💯💚💚💚

switched off half way through, simply.. sometimes they want it, other times they don't , pellets are the best bait ive used bar none, instant, attractive, leakage, subtle, oily, quick breakdown times

So, it’s all about thinking for yourself and making a good HNV bait that the fish recognise as food. So, the same as it’s always been since Walker and Wilton.

Interesting podcast, but it could have been so much more. I think it went a bit all over the place without going into depth on specific topics.
It could have been better to discuss 3 to 5 specific situations where decisions on rigs have made a big impact.
A really good example of this was an article Jason did in Carpology on game-changers. It was a very silty venue and in the end he emptied the place by using extremely short hooklinks and big flattened inline leads. Completely going against all theories there are on silt fishing.
Hope to see more of Jason in Korda media as he is a great thinker that can inspire people with his ideas. Looking at many of the comments so far thinkers like him are often very misunderstood, unfortunately

Jason comes across as very logical and doesn’t over complicate stuff even though he’s technically minded. This was a great listen..

Finally a podcast/interview with this man without the main subject being the black mirror. Very keen to see what this new product is of his thats in the making. Completely agree with everything he says, but its just carp fishing and i dont get why we glorify it so much or make out theyre so tough to catch, i mean they eat their own shit. But i hope the people that watch this dont take in to much of whats said coz catching would be a lot tougher if we all fished the way jason does lol. There aint a lot of known anglers id want to have a beer or 8 with but this man is definitely one of them!!! Thanks for doing this jason!

A good listen on the bank today. I do think Richard could have pressed Jason a bit more on a few points and I didn’t agree with all of what Jason said but a good podcast and great angler!👍

This is exactly what I want in a carp fishing podcast , something to think about! The funny anecdotes and stories of past captures are fine , but you learn very little and it’s the same thing over and over. Really enjoyed it 👍

@StevenMorrisfrankingsolutions little bit harsh bud. Atleast people now know overloading hook baits with synthetic flavour is not the one. That's something to take away if you were brainwashed into believing it.

I have a question can a Carp smell under water?

    • @mareusappare
      @mareusappare วันที่ผ่านมา +3

Yes they can, the nose of the fish, called the nares has something called the olfactory rosette which is covered in taste buds. Aswell as that, they can taste through the lat line and all over the face and tips of the fins

He Should have been a politician don’t think he answered one question and very good at keeping secrets? Only thing I’ve learned from this is I’ve wasted 1 hour and 49 minutes!
I’d really like to see people from opposition brand like mark pitchers,Alan Blair,Kevin Nash etc with Danny and Damian - always wondered are they all friends or enemies as I’ve never seen brand bosses and leaders around the same table together would be interesting I’m sure.

It's called being modest, it's his character. As he said he has no real ties with any companies and doesn't want to go pissing off the real big heads as angling is full of them. He's been there before, although I'm sure he doesn't care he's just trying to be polite. Besides I think he's bang on with what he said in this

    • @Toronto_James

just because someone does something or thinks something differently to you, doesn't mean that you think you're better than them? what a bizarre thing to say. WGAF what anyone else does or thinks?
the majority of carp fishing knowledge is just peoples opinions based on experiences or something that has been accepted as "the law" just because someone said it 40 years ago. speaking out against 'common wisdom' is often met with derision & abuse - especially online & it's refreshing to see someone start calling out some of the bro science shit that gets spouted as "facts" when it isn't actually anything other than ill-thought-out opinions.
I saw "carp don't need good eyesight as they can't actually see the area under their mouths when they're feeding" the other day.... LOL
