i am posting this here because the person i am replying to "Wonder Creation Studios" believes it is perfectly acceptable to censor people when they present facts and/or opinions that go against his worldview. enjoy ye passerby. "Obviously the PlayStation. Better console with higher graphics specs and processing power" the thing is, we honestly dont know that, the SEGA Saturn is a bit like the Playstation 3. when that system launched and for years after it received inferior ports of games as compared to the more simplistic Xbox 360. while the Playstation 3 eventually began to show what it was capable of later in its life we never got to see the Saturn's full potential. if it was firing on all cylinders it could very well beat out the playstation in terms of raw power. "better controller," this is all up to opinion, personally i dislike the feel of the dualshock 1-3 and to this day the only early playstation controller i have found to even be comfortable was sony's "dual analog" (scph-1180) and it wasn't until bungie game studios helped them design the dualshock 4 that things changed. as it stands the playstation controller was a rather lazy rippoff of the SNES controller and even the analog stick placement was a literal afterthought when they came out. "better games" again, matter of opinion however i will say that few people bought a playstation to play games made by sony themselves. the playstation brand is built on the fact that due to popularity alone sony can count on more competent game developers to put the hits on their system and when that doesnt work out...... you get the first 3 years of the ps3's lifespan..... ouch. on the other hand SEGA has a gaming pedigree. if you bought a SEGA system, its because you wanted to play SEGA games and the saturn has no shortage of hits if you know how to use the internet.
"better everything!" yeah sure, tell that to its crap hardware construction. tell that to the disc drives that dont even have brush-less DC motors and have guide rails built out of plastic that deforms both of which quickly leading to disc reading errors. tell that to the memory cards that only let you hold 15 saves or how about this tell that to even needing a memory card AT ALL. tell that to hardware that was stripped of features as the lifespan went on. "Back in the 90's I knew PlayStation was going to be the RPG console, which was why I went with it." im not you, but somehow i doubt you just knew, and why is it exactly? "Looking back, there's never been any doubt in my mind and my RPG collection (that I still have today) from all those years ago, will stand the test of time as the greatest titles ever released." oh yes, as with you many you became enamored with "baby's first RPG" developed by squaresoft. im not even saying its a bad game but out of all that is out there you can do better than final fantasy. "Saturn = arcade ports," what if i want arcade ports? by your standards that means that the playstation cant do them very well. "Playstation = every kind of game you could want done better." admit it, you still never got over not getting to play Panzer Dragoon Saga ;p with all of this being said now for an explanation. the person i was replying to will copy his post, delete it, then repost it in order to censor me. he has also gone to the videos on my channel, disliked them all, left childish insults and hopped on his alts to do the same, even trying to get me to disclose my home address at one point.

"Obviously the PlayStation. Better console with higher graphics specs and processing power"
the thing is, we honestly dont know that, the SEGA Saturn is a bit like the Playstation 3. when that system launched and for years after it received inferior ports of games as compared to the more simplistic Xbox 360. while the Playstation 3 eventually began to show what it was capable of later in its life we never got to see the Saturn's full potential. if it was firing on all cylinders it could very well beat out the playstation in terms of raw power.
"better controller,"
this is all up to opinion, personally i dislike the feel of the dualshock 1-3 and to this day the only early playstation controller i have found to even be comfortable was sony's "dual analog" (scph-1180) and it wasn't until bungie game studios helped them design the dualshock 4 that things changed. as it stands the playstation controller was a rather lazy rippoff of the SNES controller and even the analog stick placement was a literal afterthought when they came out.
"better games"
again, matter of opinion however i will say that few people bought a playstation to play games made by sony themselves. the playstation brand is built on the fact that due to popularity alone sony can count on more competent game developers to put the hits on their system and when that doesnt work out...... you get the first 3 years of the ps3's lifespan..... ouch.
on the other hand SEGA has a gaming pedigree. if you bought a SEGA system, its because you wanted to play SEGA games and the saturn has no shortage of hits if you know how to use the internet.
"better everything!"
yeah sure,
tell that to its crap hardware construction.
tell that to the disc drives that dont even have brush-less DC motors and have guide rails built out of plastic that deforms both of which quickly leading to disc reading errors.
tell that to the memory cards that only let you hold 15 saves or how about this
tell that to even needing a memory card AT ALL.
tell that to hardware that was stripped of features as the lifespan went on.

im not even saying its a bad game but out of all that is out there you can do better than final fantasy.

what if i want arcade ports? by your standards that means that the playstation cant do them very well.
"Playstation = every kind of game you could want done better."
