Have never been to Burning Man, but it's at the top of my bucket list. Just found you and I really appreciate the information and your attitude towards the event. Thanks so much, looking forward to more from you.

Great video. I agree with everything you said. I would just like to add that I used a lock with a key and half way through BM it become very hard to remove the key from the lock, I assume because dust got into the lock itself. The lesson to be learned is use a combination lock or at least take care to keep the lock and key away from the dust as much as you can.

I really love all your vids. I've been to BRC many times, but your vids are good reminders of what to do and what not to do, and I remember many experiences that are relevant while watching. Also, I can recommend your vids to others!!! Thank you very much! :)

Side notes on bikes for others: When going to walk around and leaving your bike somewhere, don't necessarily use a vibrant amazing mobile art car as a visual cue to where your bike is, because that art may move away -- leaving your bike alone in the dark.... Also, when you park your bike somewhere, try and triangulate it's whereabouts with respect to other permanent art installations in the vicinity... that may mean lining up the Man with a pyramid and a whatnot, to know that you can find your bike again. Remember that some whatnots burn, and may not exist later. also... once I had my bike light on fire when cyclonic fire action from the main Man burn resulted in embers landing in my bike basket. After that burn I found my bike, but it was an odd combination of burned, singed, and wet. wet because others had thrown water on it to put out the fire in my absence. so don't park too close to known burns. :D. enjoy!

You have such excellent vids--I am shocked that you do not have more subbers. I will share around and see if some are smart enough to check you out!

Thanks so much! Congrats on getting a ticket :) I'm sure you're going to have an amazing time!!!
If it'll give you peace of mind that your stuff will be safe then why not! It would certainly be a pretty good deterrent if anyone did decide to have a root around in there for valuables. Like Victoria Stanton says generally people do respect each others property out there. If you do bring a tent lock just make sure you don't lose the key!

I haven't been able to find a video on how to clean your bike on the playa. Im going to keep looking. But it would be awesome to see the set up so we no how to keep our bikes clean and stuff off the playa while doing it

please take your bikes back with you and don't leave them at the playa after the event! We were left with 3000 left over bikes and the workers have been there all week having a ton of people taking bikes but not enough to get rid of them all. That And do not trash the surrounding town's! very irritating for the stores when they see poop and pee in water jugs at the garbage cans as well as the local uhaul trucks....

11alliLo 3000 left over bikes? That's insane. Seems like it could be a business opportunity for someone though isn't it? I get they are probably cheap Walmart bikes but even if they sell for 1/3 of the cost of new that could be a decent profit. A dealership around here gathers abandoned bicycles and cleans them up and donates them to kids in need, that could be another option. 3k bikes is a lot though. Seems like that and the other stuff you mentioned which is much worse goes against the whole "leave no trace" aspect of BM.

That's really cool 20 MPH is fast please wear helmet. Do you bring on the plane? Do they make a tricycle I am disable and worried what the dust would do to my electric scooter. I wish the US was more bike friendly.

Yes I do remember seeing one called mobility camp. I love these video's I even get a kick out of hearing the women's perspective ones. I have to ask her what name is. I think Pterodactyl was a prehistoric dinosaur bird. I won't be able to go this year due to various reasons ones is my son and I building an art car fixing up an old air stream trailer below there is a link to a photo of it. The other is medical which I want to let people know about what happen to me. June of last I was at my doctor a wanted to see if my doctor would recommend medical cannabis to help me sleep being Florida just passed it with 72% of the vote. His comment was he would if he could because of federal funding but his real fear was driving which is stupid I have partaken since 1968 yes I am a old hippy. So he prescribes the sleeping pill Ambien so I fall sleep walking on Ambien break my neck and I don't remember any of it other than waking up being paralyzed I used to be left handed now I able kind of use my right hand and type with two fingers. Going to burning man has been on my bucket list for a while and during this ordeal and making it a goal has kept me motivated. My ranting is that I wan't people to know how dangerous this drug is. Any way on a lighter note check this art car were working on link below we will drive it from Florida.

Matthew Cunningham wow, that's crazy. It is messed up that doctors have no problem prescribing these hard core drugs but marijuana is off the table for lots of people. Just out of curiosity why didn't you just stick with using it illegally if you have already done so for the past 40 yrs?
