Tbh, this doesn't actually look all that hard, it's just a learning experience and remembering level design. The general techniques required aren't that hard to pull off.

Hey man, I just wanted to thank you for giving me a new hobby with speedrunning SMB a few months ago. Holy cow. I guess this is supposed to be a new level but why do I remember playing this exact level as a kid? Maybe it changes and gets harder towards the end. I’m only two minutes into the video like the good hasty commenter I am.
Hey Kosmic. It’s been a while since I’ve watched any of your content. I hope streaming full time is working out for you. I just wanted to say, the content is phenomenal and I hope you keep it up! Good luck on all your future endeavors
Just so everyone knows, there did actually exist wireless NES and SNES controllers back in the nineties. They used infrared and not Bluetooth, since Bluetooth didn't exist yet and IR technology was quite well known and easy to deal with. The only problem was that you had to point the controller straight at the receiver, and no one could walk in front of you without the signal going out. The nice thing, though, was that there was no handshake, so as soon you pointed in the right direction again, with no encumbrances, the controller would work again instantly, with no delay. Also, the batteries didn't last very long.
I feel like the item box at the flag pole is to prevent mario from clipping past the flag pole if you just stand on the moving platform. Kinda gets thrown out the window tho considering you can clip through the block anyway
Hackers: Hey Kosmic, this is a hard SMB1 hack! Kosmic: Hold my pizza.
I think the sneezing was someone else, doing it for Kosmic, so he can continue playing. He has his people sneeze and P for him.. but eating pizza he can easily do while gaming, like true WR holders.
For someone like kosmic, I'm sure that this is only mildly challenging. If I tried this , I would quickly rage quit. But then I never even had the patience to learn how to clip through walls let alone do wall jumps! And frame perfect maneuvers? Forget about it!
I liked it. With there being no custom stuff, and the levels being not too hard... The video wasn't SUPER interesting. But the hack seems mostly well made. Surely once it gets harder in worlds 5 and on then it'll be extra fun to watch.
this hack has a lot of really cool setups. out of all levels i think its ok for 4-1 to have softlocks because the lakitu can kill you, but it would probably be better if it just didn't have those

Not Sure: "Yes, this is a hard romhack"
Kosmic: "Yes, these are my hard glitchhacks"
This is nice. A romhack that has challenging sections without resorting to endless frame perfect jumps and trolling the player with invisible blocks.
"get speed you fool" made me laugh too much
The maze/looping tech was definitely one of the cooler mechanics I've seen in SMB Romhacks.
1:31 damn you sang to the underground theme on accident
i love this
I never get tired of Kosmic just cheesing levels for the sake of it and I have a feeling he doesn't either
You know the mod wasn't hard on Kosmic when he cheeses the level but then plays it intentionally anyways just so there's content for the video.
10:57 and that's why they made the platforms blue in mario maker.
