What an amazing story. If you wrote this as a Hollywood film NO one would believe it, they would say, don't be silly that couldn't happen, its to far fetched and ridiculous!! But truth is often stranger than fiction and this club and this team made the impossible, possible. It is like a dream come true and a credit to everyone involved with this amazing club, there fans are unbelievable, so passionate, but I have to give a big shout out to Russell Crowe. A movie star that showed he is just an ordinary guy who had a belief and faith in the Sydney Rabbitohs and helped so much to make this happen. I believe this is truly one of the most amazing story's in Rugby league history and it was nice to have the Burgess brothers involved. All of them are amazing athletes in there own right and made another piece of history with four brothers playing together in the same game and what a momentous game it was. Fortress Burgess certainly played there part. I absolutely love this story, from the Rabbitohs almost going out of existence to winning the Grand final is truly like a fairy tail. 🧚🧚🧚

RIP John Sattler, so glad he got to witness this, but also the 2021 Grand Final... Fitting that he passed a few days after the Rabbitohs played the Roosters, he got to witness one last chapter in the book of feuds last Friday night!
I waited all my life with my dad to watch Souths win a comp or even play in a GF he passed away from cancer just before the finals, I knew we were going to win it, i cried and cried onto a Souths flag that I have never washed. Last year broke my heart but I can die knowing I saw my team win an NRL Comp. I remember that whole day like it was yest, I was wanting to sleep in that morning but the anxiety wouldnt let me, so it was a long long day, but it was a very special day aswell and I took a picture of my mum who passed away in 2017 before she got unwell and it was like that picture was meant to be taken, she looks so happy and healthy, i cry when I see that pic. I thought in 2013 when we led Manly 14-0 in the Prelim that I was going to be able to watch Souths in a GF with my dad who was in hospital at the time, i remember leaving the hospital after that game and screaming in anger for my dad , then he was travelling well all year but got real crook just a few weeks from Finals and the week before week 1 he passed away. Thats why I said I knew. Then to come so close again last year, there is plenty of glory coming in the next few yrs. Not this yr as in 2022 but look out from here on in.
Biggest crowd in a GF, GREATEST TEAM WINNING THE GF and it was what the game needed , my dad passed away just before the finals, in 2013 he was in hospital with lung cancer, watching the Prelim against Manly leading 14-0 i thought im going to see a GF with dad, but it went wrong I cried that night for him, but I also cried this not for him and still one of the most emotional nights of my life, I know it's just a game but as said being a Souths fan from 18mths old dressed in a red and green jump suit at Lidcome Oval against West, ive even punched on during the dark years when a guy said " He's just a fuckwit Souths Supporter, we might not win it this year but we will give it one big shake but we will be lifting that trophy again very soon and having all our good jnrs signed away from the Goosters coz these kids want to play for Souths, take out an intercept last year we win it again, so we never lay down and I think excitement is starting to build again in Redfern because we have the team to do it again, so.lets just see what happens in 6 weeks time.

A few days before the grandfinal I lost my brother Kerry he. Knew Souths would win the grandfinal but he.died with our dad before then six years later
