I remember winning the first winnner takes all event on PSN. Had a few world records in this game within the first few months before some dudes went absolutely ham on the game by finding new patterns on serenity and others. My highest was 200m or so on Serenity and I'm damn proud of it still.

Was my buddies ps3 and I used his name since he sold it to me and had games on it. Usually i'm goodpizza in online games like WoW or CoD. Btw sick score and vid dude brings me back :). I just found my old ghost buddy from another vid. Everyone on the /r/ssx reddit seems to have really mixed feelings about this game (lots of pitfalls, etc) and I can see why. Like it's my favorite SSX by far but the bad tracks were really bad but nothing will ever top the awesomeness of serenity for me and i've played since SSX when i first got my ps2. If every map for Trick It was like Serenity and the others i've forgotten about it would've been remembered much better. I loved the physics of it and the rythym and feel of the controls and how to get the most out of every trick and trying to extend the map as best as possible. 200m is a guestimate (it's been a while) I KNOW i hit 180m once and I'm pretty sure I beat that and hit 200m and called it quits after that. That winner takes all event though I was set for life in currency afterwards lol.
@@Goodpizzaa Ahh I remember you yes, you were an old player but regardless getting above 200m puts you in the top 10 on that map so well done man 👍🏻 I think that mountain is also the best in the game, it was made so nicely even for race it from the smoothness of the snow, to the ease of the jumps etc. You should join the SSX discord if you haven't btw, theres a permanent link on the SSX reddit if you haven't seen it!

Something about that song just got me in the zone. Yea I didn't continue with the game much after about a year into the initial release and when the actual pvevp started. I remember watching the guy who first broke 120m or so on serenity and added him and others I found when playing. Maybe you were one of them :O. This map is the best ever made for trick imo. Such a high skill ceiling potential, such an epic map. It really gave you that SSX feel while doing even more crazy shit than ever before with the game. I remember watching videos from the popular SSX forums where people would upload videos, look at ghosts trying to find new paths. If I had continued to push I think i could've eventually hit over 200 but I only got very close I think. Sadly.. 8 years later no new release. If by a few years into the PS5 we don't get one I think, especially with EA these days, this is the last one we'll get :(. And yea I might have to do that! I do have an old ps3 I got to watch my DBZ blu rays on I could possibly get the game on perhaps.. won't have my glowing kaori suit or stacks of cash though :(

I never realized you could rack up 4-5 multiplier increases with one jump until I saw this vid. This was an enlightening experience, to say the least. I'll need to practice a lot, but realizing this was a huge step towards getting a score like this lol. Would you mind explaining what perks for board/suit, mods, and gear you're using, and why they are ideal for a high score?
Yeah, at the time my Ty was just recently levelled up to 15 so I was still looking for better alternatives for my lvl 13 board with no perk, so I equipped a boost mod and a speed mod which I don't normally do. An ideal setup would be an Extra Tricky Time perk, and Trick Bonus perk which are available at 11 I guess but I didn't have it at the time (the ETT) so i equipped a mod. As for gear I use the pulse goggles on almost all of my runs idk why I'm just used to them a lot and I equip the wingsuit at all times in even in trick events because you'll never know when you might get in trouble between a gap especially on a good run. Ultimately since the gear is at the highest level you'd expect the highest results of points (depending on how good you are) the gear just helps push you a bit better, because you still can get just as high records with lvl 9 gear for example (equipped with the right mods), personally I don't think mods are useful at lvl 15 (except the trick multiplier mod) and its all a matter on how well you play the game. :)
I love this game and have dropped 93m on Serenity which puts me in the top 50ish of the world, actually 99m on my buddys account, but I have to know how on earth do you go back and forth like that without the multiplier dropping? +xlrobertolx Simialar to urself i can get to 90mil but how he spends so much time on one section of the course without breaking multiplier is beyond me. I really miss playing this game as i have the xbox one now. Hopefully will get backwards compat. EA should have released more DLC on this game as it kind of lost the community which is a shame

No video required bro. I saw your videos, what you do wrong is let go of all the buttons (Including tweak) when your only supposed to let go of the trick buttons, so for a tweaked tail grab its O ---> X + R2, I then need to automatically switch it after a full rotation, what i do is i hold O ---> square while still holding the R2, and i continue to flip until my multiplier is up to x15 with practice you'll manage to do it, you dont learn things from doing it from the first time ;)
Hey radical one more thing, I can't use trick mood currently due to suspension, but doo the trick multipliers mood help with the switching between X and B?
Thats what i used to do, but then i found out its better to hold the tweak at all times. As for a matter of registration it does depend a little on luck due to the time in which you hold the trick plus the amount of points the trick gives you. Hope this helps :)

Hi what character are you using? Just would like to know, right know im using psymon since he has a lot of boost but I have hard time in terms of maneuverability. Do you just boost throughout, its difficult balancing between keeping combo on the floor whilst boosting at certain times.
+Tommy Chappell Generally when I land I don't boost for a second so that I can maintain traction with the snow, and when I find a good path to continue on I boost. I use Ty btw.
Rad, does that still work for you if you don't have full tricky? I have to let of of the tweak if I don't have full tricky or the second+ trick won't register. If i am at full tricky then I don't have to let go of tweak.

Well personally speaking I've been playing the series for the better part of 20 years so I can't explain it but it's kind of like a rythym and timing thing akin to music as to knowing when you should trick and drop it. For knowing the map layout lots of playing around with the "feel" of the controls and fine tune motor control are essential to do stuff like this. My highest was 200m on serenity. It also helped messaging people you'd see with high scores early on in the games life span and ask them to friend you to see their ghost and practice that until you beat it by a lot. They would then see that then beat you and the cycle would continue until ultimately the best path was found on serenity as far as I'm aware. Maybe someone could beat it by a little bit but I think it's completely optimized for the average person who doesn't have the not to toot my own horn here as I'm not this guy or the world record holder, a really keen sense of area awareness, rythym, knowledge of how flow works and how to abuse it by looking at the track and finding a pattern you could exploit for more score. It takes a lot of practice and I mean I spent a year playing this game straight and when actual PvP came out no one stood a chance lol but then again no one huge was still playing much unless their scores got beaten.
basically as soon as you hit blue tricky you just keep alternating between tweaked blackbird tricks and tweaked all you can eat tweaks (they are both tricks in the game which can be pulled off by pressing X then B, or B then X) or square and circle on PS ^^
It seems to me that you play Osu! and then speak of skill... bro SSX is Easy as F*ck once you get the controlls down and know about the game.... in Osu! you have different maps each harder than the other (im a ar10.3 player -- name Miidel ) just saying
It takes some skill, but it's still blatantly exploiting being able to speed up back up the map for more tricks. You can't do this anymore however, not to this extreme anyway. It was patched, staying in one "part" of the map and going backwards to do more tricks now starts taking points away the longer you do it. No Flow penalty I think it's called?
This no flow thing has always been around its not something new, and avoiding it isn't that hard if you know how to handle the track properly. Its more than the upwards and downwards motion of going up the track, it takes a lot of practice to get records like these. Some people have achieved records higher than this, go ask them whether it was based on skill or not.
You guy's dont understand what i mean. You need no skill to do a score like this, but u need skill to get a very high score if you do a normal tricky race... it's not the score... his perfomance is so lame :/

It took me like 300000000000 tries just to get 60 million on serenity . And you broke my record in the first 30 feet in the drop.

I think you can get more points by simply going back up the hill and performing tricks than just spin around on the rails.
ps2 edition is better. reviewed 360 edition and it did ok but ps2 versions were so much better
