- Recently I came across this biaxial sphere led kit. And since I really liked the single 56-LED version, I just had to try this one. This one has two arches which can display different pictures, texts and even animations. One of the arches consists of blue LED's while the other has red LED's.
In this video I will be building the main printed circuit board. In the next video, I will be building the LED arches.

The part that I had a problem with on soldering was the output IC's, and they had one pin that was not soldered, but looked like it was. Just took a bit of liquid flux and re-flowed the solder on the pins then it worked no problem. Also I had a hard time with this video as it is out of focus.

I recently purchased the same kit (although it's quite different from your pcb) and my question is why would they bother putting the positive & negative symbols on the IR led if they them expect you to mount it backwards??
Like everyone else on Amazon, I didn't receive any instructions for this kit and even after contacting the seller, which they said to do, they basically told me I was shit out of luck on receiving any instructions! My kit even came with some extra pcb that had everything already mounted on it, but didn't offer any guidance on what exactly is used for (I'm not referring to the power supply board).
that extra board is mounted to the main pcb. there is a square marking on the new version main pcb. you need to run the coil through the main pcb AND the small one that comes assembled. the other side of it has a positive and negative that you need to solder pins through to connect it to the main board. They basically omitted any of the diodes that would have been soldered to the main PCB and instead chose to included a piece that's already completed, yet offer no update to instructions, not that they include those in the first place...

Excellent video description. I have just recently purchased the exact kit only to find out they are not supplied with any instructutions or pcb component layout. Could you point me to the assembly instructions please ?

I didn't find ANYTHING even remotely close to instructions in that file! Nothing but how to program different Chinese characters into it, but seeing as how I don't read Chinese, it's not very helpful.

I have also bought this kit from ebay and the sell keeps sending me the assembly instruction in chineese. Do to have a link to the assembly instruction in english.

Be careful when you program/downloading pictures or text on it ;). I switched Rx and Tx and now mine is dead :(
Thanks for the tip! With the single arch version, mixing up rxd and txd didn't matter, it just didn't work.

Exactly. That's why I made the mistake. Long leg is - (negative) in this case.

ерунда так как показывать как он его паял не интересно .интересно было бы увидеть работу отредактированных правильно программ приложенных к этой игрушке. так как родные программы это сплошной мусор и правильно не работают ,а выдают сплошной программный мусор спустя один цикл работы .поэтому более 5 сек более не кто не показывает видео или только сборка .так как программа требует полного редактирования .использовать ее нельзя .идея хорошая ,но включил и готово ,так не выйдет .без навыков написания программ, деньги на ветер
