    Vajpayee Achievement
    1. Pradhanmantri Gram Sadak Yojana - Largest Rural connectivity program since independence
    2. National Highway Development Project (NHDP) - Golden Quadrilateral.. largest physical connectivity program since independence
    3. Reforms in Telecom and IT - Today India is IT superpower
    4. Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan - Best program in my opinion. Just compare literacy rate in india before and after 10 yrs of this program.
    5. Pokhran
    6. Elections in J&K
People of india did a biggest mistake for not electing him in 2004.

You accept or not?... But I remind and Inform you that, the biggest reason behind loss the election in 2004 is Gujrat riots, without any doubt...there was no mazer deference between BJP and congress in 2004. Congress won 145 and BJP 138......

Same with China now. The fact that Chinese deployed so much army itself shows they are taking the threat seriously.

I do not understand how do you come to that conclusion. Shekhar ends by calling Atal a great human being. For resisting war when the whole country is wanting to go to war is the mark of a great leader and a great human being. A war between nuclear India and nuclear Pakistan means possible annihlation of the Indian subcontinent, and much more. The present leaders of India and Pakistan would do well to catch some of that ABP greatness.
