I got the OG in ranger. I absolutely love the design Jon. I like keeping a sharpie and multi tool in the pouch organizers and use it to hold my water bottle and spent mags. Plus rolls up nicely when transporting.

I love this pouch. I use the elastic interior mag holders to stage for the next course during 2 gun matches that way I can keep reload mags in their kywi pouches. The only thing I would add to this is a leg strap. Had a T-Rex pouch, hated the way it mounted to the belt but the shock cord leg strap was really nice to keep the pouch from flopping around.

If you can't make up your mind between the 2 sizes, go with large. When folded up they're almost identical

Just received the standard, great pouch

I have both. The large on my AR mag pouch. Normal belt setup 2 pistol mags, 1 AR mag.. If I'm doing pistol only, then I remove my AR mag pouch (quickly with a Teklok) and replace with a 3rd pistol mag pouch (also Tek Lok), which has the smaller dump pouch.

The dump pouch is perfect for the range. I can stuff it with empty and full mags and not have to go back for more mags as often.

The mini dump would make a great SOTR pouch, or a m50 filter pouch

When used as an actual dump pouch for hasty stowing of spent mags, how many can each fit easily. Not nearly stacked side by side, but if they are just thrown in.

Nice. Love the size of the mini. How strong is the Squadron laminate mounting backer vs. traditional molle attachment webbing? Thanks!

It's squadron on both styles. The benefits to it is that it doesn't fray like standard molle

I have yet to get a big boy 2 piece belt. Can I make the Mini work with Kyiwi mag pouches that use 1.75" KYWI Belt Loops?

If you have a 2 piece belt use one wrap to attach the mag pouch and dump pouch. Good examples are the Defence Mechanisms rifle mag pouch

As Deadeye mentioned, a little bit of Velcro OneWrap or equivalent is great for creating universal belt loops. It's not as easy to put on quickly as a clip or ridgid loops. But it's more versatile, more compact and easy to use. OneWrap is also just handy to have around for various projects so it's worth having some on hand even if you don't plan on using it for attaching pouches to belts.
Also remember that you don't have to build your battle belt setup all at once. You can get an inner belt now and add on the outer belt of your choice at a later point in time. A decent inner belt will do all the things your normal EDC gun belt will do. With not that big of a price difference. Right now I'm using a Defense Mechanisms inner belt as my primary everyday belt and absolutely loving it.

@@NiccoMinutoli I'll def get some Onewrap and rig something up then. Taking more serious OWB rifle and pistol classes this year. Haven't found a 2 piece belt yet. But got Kyiwi pouches and OWB holster to hold me over.

It's also worth remembering that sometimes the best equipment is the stuff you already have. Two-piece belt systems are great but they aren't an essential upgrade for everyone and every situation. So don't feel like you immediately have to upgrade to a high-speed battle belt if your immediate needs with your mag and holster setup are being met. A good (single piece) belt, a quality holster, and decent mag pouches can go a long way.
