These 5 intros all represent something to do with the movies they open and the franchise as a whole. John Carpenter's Halloweeen: The pumpkin's face is simple and straightforward but is emotionless just like the murderer Michael Myers who kills indiscriminately and stoically. The score also reflects this by being simple and creepy without emotion. Even the font represents it by being simple and creepy. Rick Rosenthal's Halloween II: The pumpkin's face is more detailed and an actual prop with a skull inside is seen at the end which represents the film’s higher budget allowing for more blood and violence compared to its predecessor. The score also reflects the higher budget by using more instruments and rising in tone as the score goes on. The font even represented it by being similar but different at the same time. David Green's Halloween: The pumpkin starts out decomposed only to recompose itself into a resculpt of the original 1978 emotionless pumpkin which represents how after 3 unsuccessful timelines, this film returned the Halloween franchise to basics. The score also reflects this by being a rescore of the original theme that hypes up the return of the Shape or Michael Myers being who it was truly meant to be; an emotionless killer or the personification of pure evil who kills indiscriminately just because he can. Even the font being the same as John Carpenter's Halloween reflects that this film is a requel to it which I say it did an excellent job with. Halloween Kills: The 12 pumpkins shown here represents all the Halloween movies up to that point and the film being the most bloody, gruesome, and violent film in the franchise (next to the Zombieverse duology that is). The 12 pumpkins are also lit on fire which fits the theme of the film to a tee. Like all the other Halloween films, the score fits this as well by playing possibly the most demonic and somber version of the main Halloween theme up to this point. The font which is the same as Rick Rosenthal's Halloween II represents how it's plot is similar in showing Michael Myers continuing his murder spree while Laurie was at the hospital with many key differences. The blood coming out of the eye of the first pumpkin even references Rick Rosenthal's Halloween II. I'd even daresay it acts as a requel to that film in a way. Halloween Ends: The 6 pumpkins represent the theme of the entire film (as well as John Carpenter's Halloween) which is how evil never truly dies but just changes shape. It is reflected by the later 5 pumpkins tearing through the previous one and appearing more and more devilish until the last one appears. While it appears normal at first, it splits open to reveal a bloody center representing something darker and more sinister than any of the demonic pumpkins that came before it. Combining the creepy sounds from John Carpenter's Halloween, the advanced music from Rick Rosenthal's Halloween II, the hype factor from David Green's Halloween, and the demonic feeling from Halloween Kills, it would be a perfect score to the last film of the Halloween franchise if this film ends up being it. The font being the same as Halloween III: Season of the Witch shows how different a feel this film is from a typical Halloween movie like that film was. Rather than being a big bloodbath by Michael Myers, it explores what John Carpenter's Halloween was truly about. The film even comes off more as a mix of elevated horror and slasher horror which is the stuff I truly adore. The little things like this really help to give a film franchise or any it's identity.
Halloween Kills was the first movie I saw post quarantine and a perfect selection! Super intense and had us on the edge of our seats ! And the theme? Perfection! I went with my mom as we would go to the movies up to twice a month prior to the pandemic , so it was a fun and spooky way to resume our tradition
I dont understand the hate for it, it was a amazing sequel, Michael was unstoppable and brutal, and was still connected to the original with the best mask and ogs returning, witch every fan moaned for during the resurrection and zombie years. And don't get me started on amazing that flashback was.

2018 is easily the most underrated one. The enhancing of the original theme and the clever trick of reversing the footage of a rotting pumpkin to signify a reboot is perfection
The segue into the Halloween II theme is superb. The score itself is haunting. I remember seeing it in the movie theater in 1981 after seeing Halloween two days earlier when it aired for the first time on NBC-TV. I was 11 y/o and scared senseless. What a great time.

Todas las calabazas son icónicas, pero sin dudas mi película favorita es la 1, mi tema preferido es de Halloween Kills y mi calabaza preferida es la de Halloween Ends
If you ask me, they should’ve used the Ends opening and theme for Kills, and the Kills opening and theme for Ends. The one with the pumpkins opening up to reveal different pumpkins is perfect for Kills, as it shows that Michael always has a trick up his sleeve, and just when you think that he’s out of moves, his evil keeps him in the fight, which would’ve been a great foreshadowing for the last 10 minutes of the movie. The intro and theme for Kills is very pensive and funeral-esque, with the burning pumpkins symbolizing something dying, and the music sounding almost like a funeral choir singing, which is perfect for a movie that basically tells the viewer with its title that Michael’s reign of terror is finally coming to a close.
I was so sad when I saw Michael dies on Halloween ends, I ended up happy knowing that there is a chance that there will be a new serial killer. Y'all might think I'm crazy but Michael is my idol, although I would never trace his steps

It was an homage to the original Halloween 3. Each movie in the new trilogy was mirroring a movie in the original trilogy. Halloween 2018 representing the original. Kills representing Halloween 2 and Ends representing Halloween 3. Funnily enough, each movie in the new trilogy released 40 years after the movie they were representing. Halloween - 1978 Halloween - 2018 Halloween 2 - 1981 Halloween Kills - 2021 Halloween 3 - 1982 Halloween Ends - 2022
I always liked that one. But the way they constructed it, you didn't really get a good look at it 'til the end. I especially liked the music...starting very subtle, and growing in intensity...
With how awful Halloween Ends was to me, it makes me appreciate Halloween Kills a little more. Why? Because Halloween Kills stayed with that gruesome theme from Halloween 2018 while Halloween Ends is just another run-of-the-mill love story.

Original Halloween is the best, always will be. I love the cast and how you have a bunch of wild teenagers and doctor Loomis who is kind of the most sensible one in the movie. I thought it was interesting how Donald Pleasance originally said he didn't know why he agreed to do the first one, and then was in how many sequels.
I know it’s not the same but doesn’t Halloween 3 count as a pumpkin intro. Also part 5 could count as well? Although I admit that’s not quiet the same as even 3.

Where the fuck is part 5's intro???? That one had a pumpkin in it!
I always liked that one. But the way they constructed it, you didn't really get a good look at it 'til the end. I especially liked the music...starting very subtle, and growing in intensity...
There are 6. You forgot Season of the Witch
You know a Halloween movie will be good when it has this kind of intro.
Except Ends...
Halloween 2 sounds older than Halloween 1978

The boogeyman is real......
With how awful Halloween Ends was to me, it makes me appreciate Halloween Kills a little more. Why? Because Halloween Kills stayed with that gruesome theme from Halloween 2018 while Halloween Ends is just another run-of-the-mill love story.
Indeed. Instead of mirroring Season of the Witch, it should've mirrored both 1978 and Halloween 2 or it should've been its own Halloween movie.
You don't know what death is
5 Introoooooooooooooooosssssssssssssssssssssssss,s.
Remarkable how the latest trilogy just got progressively worse and worse.
Pra. Mim os melhores diretores de halloween são esses aí.

"You dont know what death is" - Dr. Samuel Loomis
Of course it's the same. People just pick and choose what they acknowledge.
