Daniel Morales Thanks. I tried my very best to replicate the original theme that was used in the opening titles of the film. My goal wasn’t to create my own version but rather recreate the original as best as I could
Daniel Morales yeah I tried my best to first create instruments that matched the ones used in the original theme. I spent a few days trying to figure out how to create the little percussion clicking sounds that are always present thoughout the track. I had such a hard time trying to get the percussion sound. I wanted to create a sound that sounded like the original and not something that was annoying the hear because it is playing throughout most of the track. A lot of people choose basic sounds that end up sounding really annoying like high pitched tings or dings. I wanted to actually recreate the sound of every single instrument that was used in the original theme 😝. So thats why it took me a couple of weeks to create this. I created a synth to match the original, tuned and adjusted the sound of the piano, the percussion like I mentioned, and various other sound effects. So everything is similar, but at a different quality than the original. Naturally, there is more bass and less warping in my version of the theme when compared to the original theme. And that’s because I’m using modern software-based instruments and exporting them with no initial compression 😋
Nice, What software did you used if you don't mind me asking? I have a m-audio keyboard and I use garageband for the instruments. I've been trying to create this theme song, but my own version and I've been struggling on trying to find the right software to create this song. I already got the piano part down and I use some strings, but I've been trying to find the right bass and synth for this and the percussion sound that is used in the movie. That "dadadadada" sound

My goal was to make this sound closer to the original than anyone else’s cover. The repetitive clicking noise percussion that plays throughout the entire track took me a week. I purchased an entire software just for that clicking element. And I crafted my own sounds, so that clicking sound is something that I came up with. It wasn’t a pre-installed sound that already came with a software. The synth sounds were custom adjusted and tuned by me. The piano was also from an entirely different software, and of course, custom tweaked by me. I’m using iPhone software lel. All of this done entirely on iOS.
@@VierthalerStudios I really like the drum kick version of the original theme. But that isn’t a theme that exists in the film at all. So I just wanted to stick to the original.
I hate Halloween 🎃.... because I've gad a couple incidents. Nothing is scarier. I can mention 1. I was dating my soon to be husband Charles Sellers which I never thought at the time. I left his trailer home 🏡. And went to Walgreens. For hot coffee ☕. I ran straight into a pole at Walgreens. He told me to go straight home. I lived at Claystone at the time. Both air bags came out. I crawled out of my Honda Odyssey. I had a severe black purple and green eyeball. It never hurt. I also had fractured my right arm. The hospital only exray my hand. I couldn't see my knuckles. I complained to my primary doctor 6wee j s after the fact. Then he discovered it. . A lifetime thing.
Old man yur15 You mean the fast repetitive percussion clicking? Because if that’s what you mean, I custom made my own sound using an app called Mersenne Synthesizer on iPhone. This app contains various synth sounds, but you have a wide range of adjustment knobs so you can create your own sound. I purchased the app solely for the purpose of finding a percussion sound similar to the one found in the Halloween theme. It was good enough as I was able to create the sound by shortening the cutoff time and making various other adjustments on a synthesizer.

SouthPaw82 oh I’m not recording anymore. This was one of my last projects before I ended my hobby of music making. Plus, I only own iOS based products. Today Apple no longer pays attention to these pro level DAW applications that I used to record my music. GarageBand was my main DAW of choice but sadly it’s no longer operational. So I’d have to invest into getting myself a Mac or Windows PC and some software that is still operational today. It’s expensive keeping up with tech that works. Once I get a computer with software, then one year later that software will become useless and I’d have to switch to another platform once again. It’s not something I’m going to pursue.
SouthPaw82 I’ll probably do a re-upload of this theme here. I’m trying to learn a little bit about mastering to fix the bass and volume issues. So I’ll send you a new link if I re-upload.
