Absolute Legend! Nice video mate. Recently just purchased a Dragon Pro Fisher Kayak and so far it is supplying the fish! Keep up the good work mate. Cheers!
Of all your footage the ones of you catching massive Jacks in those landlocked lakes are the best! By the way I’m catching a few up the Hawkesbury, obviously not Jacks - I wish, just a few bream but who doesn’t like a good breambo!
Public parks and easements are accessible to the public so they give you access to the water mate. Different to Parklands where you can’t fish on council property.
No that’s the key to landing em. I wrote an article on about t years ago called “Easy Does It” and when it comes to light tackle you need to goes as easy as you can see on them. The harder you go, the harder they go.
Gday Liam, nice video mate that jack was a stonker on the the 6lb outfit well done, speaking of that outfit what is the blue and white reel that you use with that rod and what size would it be, 2500? Cheers mate.
Nice vid mate !! There is a group of us that do a couple of nights at south straddie every 6 weeks or so next one is the 16 April would love it if you popped in and said good day to the lads! Enjoy a cold one with us ! Check out FB page (Brian’s boating and outdoor )
@@LiamFitzpatrick we head out on the Friday ( some early some after work, and we camp fish, bbq drink beer overall just a bunch of blokes doing what we love) some arrive as strangers but we all leave as mates ! That weekend is the pirtek fishing comp do some will enter and some just fish to enjoy. I reckon you will enjoy it !

The masses can’t be wrong mate.
Great vid mate
Cheers mate.
Awesome jack on bream gear👍 that first bream was mad😂
Cheers mate. I’ve caught a few big fish over the years on light spin gear.
I know where that is😌 fished it a couple nights ago for the first time when I saw it on maps and gave it a go, big trees in there as well
So much old structure in there.
@@LiamFitzpatrick yeah true, I need to drop my yak in there and give it a go
Are you doing all that with a lure and no live bait etc ?
100% all lures mate. I only pitch baits at night for jacks when I just want an easy, chill fishing session.
Nice underwater videos.
Do you have any suggestion for a spot to fish from the bank around there?
Any park access on any of the lakes on the Gold Coast mate. Heaps of places to check out.
@@LiamFitzpatrick thanks mate. I thought we are not allowed to fish in the parks.
Public parks and easements are accessible to the public so they give you access to the water mate. Different to Parklands where you can’t fish on council property.
@@LiamFitzpatrick thanks for explaining mate. Much appreciated. I am planning to go fishing in Lake Orr or somewhere nearby. Looks great!
Good work, Mate, what a session. 🤙🏻
Cheers bloke, I’m glad you enjoyed it.
Woooooow what a jack on 6lbs 😍 what a colour!
Awesome fish mate. Slow and steady wins the race.
Jack on the yak gotta love it yeeew !!!
Dude it’s a bit touch and go.
That would've been fun. Jack on 6lb
I used to do it on 4lb but I’ve learned my lessons over the years.
@@LiamFitzpatrick I've always wanted to give the land locks lakes a try around runaway bay
Was out that way the other day.
@@LiamFitzpatrick I'm still keen for my first jack. Been trying for a while now with no success
It’ll happen mate.
Do you reckon it fought as had as it should

Nice first
You win.
@@LiamFitzpatrick 😂
I wish I could go out on the tinnie and go for fish but have gastro not fun
Defs not fun mate.
Great video mate do all the Goldie lakes fish very similar?
Pretty much, the lightest baits rigged on the lightest gear gets the most attention mate.
Which lake were you fishing in ???
One down the Goldy mate.
@@LiamFitzpatrick which one. There are so many
All of them worth a look mate 😉

Yeah it’s a Lew’s CI200 Custom Inshore mate.
hey mate what length where the crabby’s and also do you use the crabbys as bass jig trailers? good vid mate and a cracking jack.
2.5’s and yes I use them for both mate.
thanks mate!
Nice video Mate, and nice jack. What size braid are you using with the 6lb leader
10lb mate.
1 min in so pumped!!!
I love crabbys
So do I mate.
Do you look for any particular things in land locked lakes? I know drain systems are good.
Na I just go and fish any I find mate. They all get fed by water somehow.
Mate can u do a tinny walk through please
Yeah I’m going to have to mate. Heaps of people asking me for one.
@@LiamFitzpatrick would be good mate I need ideas for mine
See if more chicks fished theyd realise 5 inches is big
That’s a big bait as far as I’m concerned 🤣

@@LiamFitzpatrick that would be awesome !! Let me know and I can arrange for the guy that organises it to make contact with you !
Do that anyways mate.
Hay bro where do u get bream prawns from and what do u think better the yabby or bream prawn
Bream Prawn for the win and I get em where ever I can mate. Hard to come by at times.
@@LiamFitzpatrick ok sweet good to no can u get them from like bcf or online
Both have some colours and sizes but the good colours become hard to come by.
@@LiamFitzpatrick whats some good colours so I can keep a look out for them
Salt and Pepper for the canals and mud prawn or watermelon for the lakes or natural systems.
