Hmm. I wonder if you can get multiple flushes out of them since they've probably been living off the grains for that long. Would be interesting to see.
Keep updating and I'll keep watching 👍

Only got one solid flush out of the tub then sporadic growth the rest of the time in tub. Didn't use much grains either tho honestly only had 2 pint jars when I usually use at least 3 or 4 quart jars for a 5lb bag of substrate.

Niice! Thought it would be some decent info for some. Surprised myself to be honest. Was going to just toss the jars and leftover substrate and instead of tossing them out decided to try and run em to see what happened. But they have been lingering quite a while so they do keep for a few months if need be.

This is just what i was looking for ideal because my substrate is running late. 🙏💚💜

Love it! Glad this video helps! Perfect for circumstances such as those. They will keep for a while in the fridge!

@Myco_BlaineO_ What sort of timeline can you store grain and substrate before inoculation and what sort of temperature.

Just what I was looking for, 1 thing is that I've had to heat my spawn bags for cultivation as these ones like a warmer climate... You are saying that even with tropical types you can store (before monotubbing later for example) at such cold temps? I only need a week or so as am going to be away from home

Of course! I keep my mycology fridge at 40° and fully colonized grain jars kept just fine for at least 6 months if not longer lol. Just as long as they don't freeze they will be just fine!

That sharpie does nothing. The liner is designed to shrink with the cake

If your using a liner then yes it does..... the sharpie would be for those not using a liner as specified specifically in this video here..... if not using a liner, you can black out the bottom of the tub...... which you would have too if not using a liner.....?

@Myco_BlaineO_ wrong. The liner shrinks with the cake which in turn makes sidepinning an unfavorable condition. The Sharpie ideology does absolutely nothing. Feel free to ask around if you don't believe me.
