You are welcome, Reggie. I worked for six long summers in Nantucket. It is an amazing place with more diversity than found probably anywhere in the country. Forty nine languages are spoken by people coming here from around the world for the excellent pay. The super rich are causing many to leave the island unfortunately. We have a caste system in this country that needs to end. I have lived much of my life in the south and I never understood how racism and hatred in the form of cemeteries continued after death. I enjoyed your video. I wrote a novel called “A Wolf by the Ears” based on the true story of the multiple escapes of James Hubbard, one of Thomas Jefferson’s young enslaved persons involved in nail making operations at Monticello, Virginia. My feelings when I took the very expensive tour there was that all persons of color should have free admission- after all they built the place. Jefferson had biological children he owned and were sold to pay his debts on his death. The blacks were in unmarked graves there some were/are (?) under the lower area parking lot! Thanks again.
Ancestry shows Tristram Coffin was my 11th great grandfather. Sad what our ancestors went through and contributed to that land, but others get to enjoy it 😢
But in the end, a grave is a grave, white or black. So, hopefully, being the end is the same for all, death with bugs crawling through the white and the black, hopefully, we have developed the garden of our own Soul, because, that is our real destiny. The only one that really matters.
You should do a study of how there were more white slaves in Africa than were ever Black slaves in America. And study all the good things white people and black people on both sides did.
