Today, by chance, TH-cam seemed to think I needed to see your video on the Wounded Healer. I have been a (sometime) student of archetypes and your story of the Wounded Healer was more than helpful. I have always known this is my archetype, but for some reason never heard of the story of CHIRON in all my 72 years. It stuck me in so many ways. The first of the image that you posted, then the description of Chiron. I was born under the sign of Sagitarius. The rest...the wound of abandonment, has become clearer and clearer throughout my life. It is the trigger that gets me emotionally over and over. I am a self pres enneagram 4w5, and a MB - INFP. It is all making sense now. Thank you again!
I love what you are doing. You have found such a....Your vid was synchronicity for me. I'm 71 and never knew this story, I've been a wounded healer, healing my wound with music composing. A therapist in Palo Alto told me she listened to one of my songs every morning because it gave her power she needed to listen to depressed people all day. I'm a Sagittarius but never knew this was a sign for a healer. Your Rumi quote was the opening quote in Chapter 3 of recently published memoir. My story demonstrates how my mutilation at 2 by my father led to changing my life trajectory - resulting in financial independence and eudaemonia. Tragedy to treasure.
Hi, I was looking for The Psychology Of The Wounded Healer as my playlist got cleared & I was only 1/2 way through it when I saw your post here & decided to watch this 1st. It was a really lovely presentation & well put in a way anyone would easily understand so I subscribed. I noticed the next one of yours that appeared is 'Why I Moved Into A Tent' so I'll catch that, because I moved into a tent at 14 & didn't really think about why. Also by the time I was 2 my mum had gone to England & my dad had gone to Peru so I was left with grandparents who were sickly & getting worser quickly so I spent tons of time alone in the backyard behind a fence so big I couldn't see over it with the pekingese elderly dog & 2 elderly cats lol
Im a psychopomp self taught 20 years only recently found out what I am called and I am very happy one of the oldest cultures know about us. A spiritual wound is being disconnected from the will of God. On the subject of abandonment.
Wow Thank You for your beautiful instructive video . I am your proud subscriber and fellow wounded soul . Looking forward to more helpful and heartful videos . Love You !

I just saw this late on December 25, 2022 and close to midnight on December 26...I can relate to this...because I am a Sagittarius too....this is almost like I have been lead to watch this video...thank you...
Well, I think we should rewrite the old stories or start telling ourselves different ones. Yeh, the wounded healer syndrome. I call it a syndrome because I see it too often in many of us (healers) who are misinterpreting the meaning of this term. Many believe that being a wounded healer means to carry a wound that can not be healed just like in this story, but that’s not the case. A wounded healer is such a person who received a wound and WAS ABLE to HEAL it, who transformed it. And because he/she was able to do that for him/herself now he/she is in a position to help others to do the same. Being a “wounded healer” doesn’t mean to be the martyr who endlessly carries a wound that can not be healed. It means to come from wounding and arrive at healing, to become empowered to now help others. I’m seeing enough people around there carrying their wound as sort of badge of honour, a sort of gift to humanity. This is a misconception. “Look how strong I am. I am so deeply wounded, but I can carry it forever. Although I may not be able to heal my own wound you sure should trust me with yours.” No… It just doesn’t work that way.
Wounded healers can actually retraumatise others if they are not aware. You can heal the wound of rejection and abandonment, it takes work and patience and a lot of time but you CAN. ❤

My tears from my wounds never turned into diamonds. In the depths of the wound is nothing but pain.

I so much agree with you. You transform the wound and help others transform their wounds. There is nothing like carrying the wound forever.

hoe does this get fixed then

It’s nice and great but he eventually killed himself because he couldn’t take the pain anymore, is what I took from it
