You don't get to blame Texas for A&M's weirdness. They do that to themselves.
I appreciate this list but Texas will not run over the SEC. Different leadership at the conference level and the brands in the SEC are far more valuable than the Big 12. Bama, LSU, Georgia, Tennessee, Florida etc don’t need Texas to anchor the conference.
We were successful without UT-Austin. This conference doesn't need them. They will be shown this as long as they're a member. Rank in order: There's the Original 10...then the 1992 additions...then everyone else.

What masochistic individual would ever want to move to Austin?! Been through there quite few times in my life. Traffic is a nightmare. No loop highways like Dallas, Houston, San Antonio. To get across town takes forever. Horrible road/highway planning by the city…and you’d think the state capitol would be the model for the rest of the state. Whatever.

Austin isnt even 95% of Texan's dream city.
Now that they've blown up conferences, expanded the playoff field, and the college football most fans grew up with is a memory, can we just go to a pod system nationally? Have 4-6 teams in a pod (whatever makes sense) and separate them geographically and financially.
For example: Texas, Texas A&M, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Mizzou might be a pod. LSU, Miss St, Ole Mis, Alabama, Auburn is a pod. However you want to split it up. These are your yearly games. Then you play a different pod every year for those cool matchup games. That's how you'd get USC vs LSU or whatever you might be interested in.
It's like the NFL set up- you have your division, then you play a different division every season. Tweak it how you want, but if we're going to set up college football like an NFL minor league, just go full into it. Stop pretending to care about the tradition of college football when it's money above all else.

Rocky Top Is hard to take. At least it’s a classic country song. Bulla Bulla is the most annoying song in sports history. The challenge of SEC teams is to protect their fans from going insane.
I'm not a Texas fan. Texas has a way of showing up when it comes to historical showdowns. Remove OU from the Texas conversation as OU is 11-4 in their last 15 meetings. One of those wins was a Big 12 Championship game. Expect Texas to show up in its First few years in the SEC and maybe even win the conference before OU does. When looking down the road 10+ years, you'll know about OU's impact on the SEC. You may question Texas' impact other than a season or two when revisiting OU/Texas and its individual influence on the conference a decade from now.

I can't speak for all Aggies. But from what I've read, Aggies have treated the relationship between the two universities like a toxic relationship between a man and woman. They left for a better one. As an example of a good relationship, after a fortuitous A&M victory over a great BAMA team in 2012, some Aggies walked into a BBQ joint in Tuscaloosa. It was full of BAMA fans. The Ags didn't know whether to stay or leave. To their surprise, the BAMA fans gave them a standing ovation. Great sportsmanship NEVER seen in Austin. Contrast that with last Monday, the day of the final game of the CWS Championship game. That morning CDC, the UT AD announces the firing of their baseball coach. The A&M team had already heard rumors that Schlossnagle was leaving for UT. CDC could have waited one more day. Was this announcement designed to mess with the heads of the A&M players? These AD's pour a lot of money into the mental attitudes of their athletes. Just when Aggies had thought they left behind what Kirk Herbstreit calls the "Cesspool of Austin", they are followed to the SEC by a toxic girlfriend!
The absolute no 1 thing Texas and Oklahoma need to get used to in the SEC is this:

As for the SEC, it was mostly aggy who didn’t want Texas in, but they soon found how insignificant they were when, practically, everyone wanted them in. Aggy need not worry; for, daddy is home to stay. So next time you make such a claim, ensure to put a little more thought into it.

But they are still around and EVERYONE in the Big12 is glad UT are gone. They are a cancer. Unequal revenue sharing nearly screwed us. Don’t let it screw you.
The best part about that is the schools that whined the most about it (aggy, nebraska) also voted in favor of it.
Having six national championship-caliber teams (now eight) in the SEC has prevented that ever being an issue. Equal revenue sharing is part of what has kept the conference rock solid.
Let’s start with this! Great show until u put down Austin! Why do that? It’s a great city and it’s getting old listening to people who don’t live here try to say if it’s a great city or not. Determining that is a preference not football knowledge! Tourism is huge here for a reason! People are not traveling to Norman Oklahoma or Tuscaloosa for vacation, weddings or business conferences.They come to Austin. It has both Big City lifestyle and beautiful outdoors activities along with being a huge college football city! What’s not to like for a sec fan? PS some of the best TexMex and BBQ in the world!

Austin is the worst city in Texas. You couldn’t pay me to live there. Other cities in Texas great no problem. My family came from Texas. A lot of them still live there.

So far Texas has wrecked three conferences, the Southwest, the Big 8 (to make room for them after they ruined the SW), and the Big 12 (long before they left). I hope the SEC is stronger and keenly aware of the cancer that is UT. Bevo is both arrogant and whiney - bad combination.

@@geoffreyevans6133 Yeah, the whole "We will get team X so we can have a new market, no matter what team it is" model has been a failure. That's why the B1G took the brands from the PAC. You really need to generate at least 100 million in revenue in football to be attractive to a power conference . That's how teams like Arkansas stay in the SEC. Arkansas went 4-8 and still generated almost as much revenue as Oregon did.

This is the first year Texas has been good since 2009. OU was vastly superior to Texas in the Big 12. The Big 12 will be just fine without you all and you will be wishing you didn't see your team go 6-6 every year.
You guys weren't that good in the big12. You had a ice season this year. Although you still couldn't get pass OU. But before this year you had over a decade of you being mediocre at best. OU destroyed you in the big12. No one ever misses TX cause all they do is whine and bully others. They aren't a team player. By the way TX sucks
@@Goeers206 TX had a good year in 2018 but yeah the last 10 years were rough for TX. Outside of that TX has a winning record against most schools including in the SEC. TX will be fine. Probably can't say the same for most of the Big 12.

Unless a super league is created, the Big 12 is going to be just fine. You all aren't in a winning record with my Mountaineers, though. We are tied in the series 6-6. Let's Go Mountaineers!

Texas is possibly the most overrated team in sports history. Texas had 3/10 win seasons in 15 years. Oklahoma dominated the big 12. OU had 14 big 12 Championships. Texas 4.
Domination and average/below average is coming into the SEC. You figure out, who’s who.
