really love this series i usually only pay attention to the visuals when watchign a show so seeing how much thought goes into the rest of the production aswell makes me appreciate the whole craft even more!! great video!
wowowow, such great analisis, I don't think anyone took the time to make a video like that focused on music. tank you for doing that and expanding our understaninding of the series, so cool my feelings of gratefulness for you are illegal, as in vore. I want to devour you. that's a normal comment
Great video for an underappreciated OST. My only nitpick is that Distorted Pleasure is absolutely an egoism track - it's basically the theme song for selling your soul to the devil known as your own twisted ego. Other than that, great work - scripting and editing something of this size and quality is a feat!
I basically never leave comments on videos but this is an incredible breakdown! Anime OSTs are definitely underrated (ask a bllk fan what their favorite part of this show is and probably no one's first answer is going to be "the music") but they're a crucial part of elevating a show's impact. I love how thorough and specific you were with every example and every bit of plot analysis, and I'm glad you took the time to catalogue the appearance and frequency of every track, revealing interesting patterns I otherwise wouldn't have noticed. Music analysis-specifically analysis of how the music interacts with the animation to enhance the narrative-is just so cool! And on a video-making note I enjoy your humor throughout (for this and all your other analysis vids), it keeps a good balance of being casually entertaining without being distracting; I also appreciate how you credited all the songs you use. Even the way you use the very songs you're analyzing as a soundtrack to your video is well thought-out; i.e. the pacing of your speech to the sections of the tracks you want to highlight, or the volume adjustment of the music to match the dialog- I mean, your script. Probably someone could make a whole analysis video of this analysis video xD -- In any case, this is an incredibly high-effort and well-constructed video and it shows! I really hope you'll make more OST analysis videos for more anime!
i dont think i can even begin to fathom the amount of work that must have went into this video T_T i think i learned a lot from this and noticed details i hadnt paid attention to when i watched the show. thanks for sharing!
maybe it's only me but I feel like the music choices for season 2 scenes seem way more random and chaotic could be because the animation is ass or because I've listened to the ost after season 1 so much to the point where I remember nearly every single track lol
this is why am so sad at season 2 as well the music is a good as ever but the animation just does not keep up. i really wish the animators actually got more time to animate it instead of being forced to rush it
OK so I’m using speech to text because I’m driving. But like I have to let you know that I love this video so so so much I’ve been watching it over the course of a couple days because a drive can only be so long but like every every joke you make, makes me laugh, and every time you like, every time you guys about the music I would like a Lego this guy gets it delete I really love to hearing all of your insights to the music and I would really love if you analyzed the music in episode Nagi as well because I saw in an interview that almost every soundtrack That they used it it was made specifically for the scenes so that is up a lot better or well. I hope so. Then using like a premade track for the TV anime. Sorry in advance for the typos I may come back out to fix it later, but like delete that word. Thank you so much for making this video. It’s really good I’m a big fan.
Please don't be ass lol hahahaha Never i have subscriber to a channel because of one sentence on the screen with a black background before hahah, but you did it
The smiling Suya and the fat Pikachus in the background is distracting me.... Anyways, as peak as the soundtrack usage in ss1 is, ss2 have massively failed it with their most Slice of life soundtrack in the most hype match in the whole series to date.
I don't know if it's just me, but the Season 2 soundtrack doesn't feel nearly as impactful as Season 1... It sounds a lot more generic, not creative and most times they miss the tone the scenes were supposed to have. Also miss the metal/rock vibes :/
Rin's theme is a whole-ass final boss theme
Blue Lock OST appreciation comment
Also, the Japanese VA's are awesome

Amazing video. Somehow you've made a video just as hype as the show
really love this series i usually only pay attention to the visuals when watchign a show so seeing how much thought goes into the rest of the production aswell makes me appreciate the whole craft even more!! great video!

this is by far the best yt video i have seen in a very long time! loved it
Distorted pleasure should be understood only as an egoist song, not a despair song.
thank you, I've always loved the Blue Lock soundtrack and now I feel like I can appreciate it
Great video for an underappreciated OST.

So thankful you're continuing this series 🙏
maybe it's only me but I feel like the music choices for season 2 scenes seem way more random and chaotic
could be because the animation is ass or because I've listened to the ost after season 1 so much to the point where I remember nearly every single track lol
I humbly request another 77 mintues for season 2 when its over
Please don’t stop making vids like this it really makes me appreciate ost’s a lot more
this is why am so sad at season 2 as well the music is a good as ever but the animation just does not keep up. i really wish the animators actually got more time to animate it instead of being forced to rush it
Another ost analysis!!

I was waitinggg for another music analysis omg loveeeed
what a unique way to dissect an anime good video dude
Love the series bro pls keep making more videos like this!!
The Blue Lock soundtrack is the best soundtracks I’ve ever heard even if the animation sucked the music just absolutely cooked 🔥🔥🔥
i cant wait for s2 soundtrack to be released, ive heard several bangers in those eps already
Subbed great video and analysis 🔥
yooo another heralen ost video! and its another soundtrack i love too?? ive been spoiled
58:49 so cold
Bro is about to make me watch the whole show again.
Love your musical analysis videos, would love to see you do Arcane’s soundtrack
I love Distorted Pleasure! I love looping it all night and it's got the best song name
This video got me hype for s2. I'll give it a second chance let's hope I won't get disappointed again
If u don't like it, read the manga
I love the ost when nagi was like leaving reo in second selection like it was so fire for no reason
Episode Nagi rocks. I have a lot of complaints about the content they chose to adapt in the movie but the OST sold it to me REAL hard
Your video is so well done bravo
28:26 nice
I feel so seen this soundtrack has been the saving grace in the BL anime that and the voice acting
Absolute cinema.
We keep attacking the animation so this is refreshing c:
i'd argue puzzle is used as a despair, neutral and an egoist song due to it's nature of being a kind of "adaptation" theme
Hikari by Clovis Reyes needs to be added into the official show. 💯 (slowed ver)
31:48 lol
Dude u have to make a death note one or kaiji that said great video keep it up
god damn it a heralen video i cant watch because i dont know nothing about blue lock and i dont wanna get spoiled
This video reminded me y I loved s1. Shame what happened in s2
48:07 was that necessary?
Why is distorted pleasure counted as despair?
19:50
Do an AOT soundtrack analysis
This would take years
yo is that danganronpa ost in the background?
favorite songs?
Chael is so desperate to have a different take that it leads him to say some of the goofiest stuff imaginable.
❤
Please don't be ass lol hahahaha Never i have subscriber to a channel because of one sentence on the screen with a black background before hahah, but you did it
Bleach soundtrack when?
Season 2 bluelock is ass but the ost don't miss so at least we got something out of it 🗿
The smiling Suya and the fat Pikachus in the background is distracting me....
Anyways, as peak as the soundtrack usage in ss1 is, ss2 have massively failed it with their most Slice of life soundtrack in the most hype match in the whole series to date.
If only the animation was just as good 😔
Season 1 wasn't bad.
@@manvelmsurian9712 a lesson we all learned after season 2 started airing 😂
@@manvelmsurian9712it definitely had bad animation at points
I don't know if it's just me, but the Season 2 soundtrack doesn't feel nearly as impactful as Season 1...
It sounds a lot more generic, not creative and most times they miss the tone the scenes were supposed to have. Also miss the metal/rock vibes :/
Nothing feels as impactful as season 1 honestly lol
FrameLock
I'm sorry, AoT ending is rushed?...10 secs in, bro already has some questionable takes
