100%. When the two signed the fight in December prior to this April event both were all smiles and the mood was congratulatory. They were acquaintances, maybe not friends, but they had no reason to dislike one another since both had been fighting in different weight classes. The event guaranteed both of them millions.

Marvin marvellous at closing distance quick. Attacked from the get go and never stopped. He landed 3 crushing hooks within the first minute. Those hard shots early killed Hearns legs. Hearns fought back valiantly immediately but withered quickly under the sustained pressure. Gotta love how Marvin chased his ass down then finished him with his superman jab. How Hearns ever made the weight I will never know. He musta ate every 3 day's. Musta been constantly Hungry. I bet when he retired he went down to Macdonalds and said to the manager here's 500 dollars, just leave me the key's to the shop.

Hearns broke his right hand in round 1 as well on Hagler's granite skull.

@@TheLongWind And Hagler broke Hearns dreams in round 3. Best fight I've ever seen. Hagler gets my perfect 10. No flaws.

@@wanderer1955 tommy hearns is my favorite boxer because me and him have a similar build for our weight class but I think hagler is a literal p4p GOAT contender if not a top 3 boxer of all time imo . The fights he lost are very controversial and the only time he was ever knocked down is disputed as well. That's crazy. It's so sad how underrated hagler is

@rageius The fights he lost? He got knocked down? What Hagler do you speak of? I don't know this Hagler. I don't believe he lost to Sugar Ray even. Bad decision by judges.
