everyone was......that's because everyone refers to an individual group. a whole that is consistent of parts that belong to it is considered one.

Thanks to the natives for making our lives harder. NO HATE, I LOVE ENGLISH(not the English period though)
lol same
thanks
An example similar to the one around 4:20 is "NOBODY was in the classroom because they WERE outside."
This construction is possible because singular "they" functions as the pronoun of all indefinite pronouns, and the verb construction follows the new pronoun "they" instead of the old indefinite pronoun.
Thank you I passed my grammar test❤️❤️❤️

"So relative pronouns are usually singular unless the context drags them into the realm of plural"
Is it supposed to be indefinite pronouns and not relative pronouns?
Great video on this lesson by the way! :]
I tought the same
👍
Please a lecture on definite pronouns also
When to know is singular or pulral
can someone explain to me why "some" is the subject and object at 1:01. Isn't the example ''Yes, please! Some would be great'' showing that ''some'' is a indirect object?
because that's how infinite pronouns work
If ' some' is not the subject then what part of the sentence would be our subject? In a sentence, it has been established that there will always be a subject and a predicate. " Yes, please. Some would be great."
Some functions as a subject here because it tells what thing would be great although there is a level of uncertainty here.
I don't like they way he says "neither" and "either". To me, it sounds like he is using German rules for pronunciation. ;D
My teacher also teach us
i like this dude
Congratulations man. Next step is to find out if he feels the same and from there you get your man-on-man relationship going.
