I work in a small place with lots of hard surfaces, other people on phone calls and loud talkers, and this beats out intergalactic cockpit brown noise, woodland birdsong, gurgling streams and ambient music for making me feel relaxed and calm! Sounds like a great place, full of people with good attitudes. I kept worrying it was going to be a recognizable loop but it either isn't, or it's long enough that I don't catch it. Love it!

This reminds me of one of my safe places, Stump Coffee Roasters in Grandview, Columbus, Ohio. Haven't been back drinking coffee and studying at a coffee shop in over 9 months now. Meanwhile, I left Columbus and moved to Texas, and now am in San Diego. Gosh, I miss spending my time at coffee shops.

Ugh. I very much enjoy listening to coffee shop ambience. I never really pay attention. But then, while taking a brain break at work I started listening to what the people are actually saying. Started to hear things like "mobile order for angel", "Venti", "Partner numbers", people gripe about not enough hours. Shivers ran down my spine. Pretty certain (at least for the first hour in) this is a starbucks recording. After working at a starbucks for a year + .. no thank you. Was immediately repulsed. Thank you next.

I love this so much. It's boosted my productivity by loads. I find music with words too distracting, and instrumental music too inconsistent. White noise is too dull, as is rain noises. Videos with "office noises" are often just fake-sounding keyboard clacking and annoying ringing phones. But this video is just right. There's noise, but it's nice noise, and noise that I don't feel the need to listen to unless I want to eavesdrop for a quick second on a fascinating conversation. The loop is long enough that you don't notice it until you hear a repeated key phrase, but even then, you can't really tell. And for some reason, the sense of being around talking people makes me feel like I have to work - I feel embarrassed if they "see" me scrolling through my phone instead of doing my work. That might sound silly, but overall, this video is so, so helpful. Thank you for this.

When I pick up snippets of conversation I imagine the people, where they are in the shop, what they look like, and the actions they make as they talk. Everything else is just static compared to the people sounds Hope this helped!
I have three different tabs playing something right now: (1) Oldies music, soft and quiet, (2) gentle rain on the windows, and (3) coffee shop ambience. I'm studying late at night and these three make such great background noise. It's very soothing.
A few years ago I started frequenting this very popular coffee shop in Berlin. I would set up my laptop, order a black coffee and sit down to a few hours of deep immersion. All around me there would be young people chatting, working and studying. I loved those ambient sounds! I would put myself into states of deep concentration and get a lot of creative work done. Then the coffee shop changed its business model. They removed the laptop charging plug points and set up a coworking space upstairs that you had to pay for. Maybe it was a better business model for them but that simple thing changed everything. It no longer had the same vibe. I stopped going there but I miss that place, that vibe. Now I just stay at home and put on my headphones with this video on. I feel the same peace. I am able to work 4-5 hours in deep concentration with this sound. I feel some part of my life that I liked and lost is back...
I love leaving this video on for my pets when I'm away for most of the day. My budgie LOVES hearing humans talk!! I would play nature sounds, but if the birds sound too much like other budgies, she starts calling for them, and I've read that can make budgies sad since they don't get a response. Hopefully soon I can see if she'd be amenable to a friend, but for now coffee shop ambiance does fine :P

Been listening to this all pandemic. Part of it helped recreate the missing experience of sitting in a cafe and working. The other part fulfilled the communal aspects that were fun while working at a coffee shop. After listening to this for a full year, I don't know how I missed the guys talking about what seems to be swordfighting or LARPing around 4:28:35. Catch something new every time.

Been listening to this all pandemic. Part of it helped recreate the missing experience of sitting in a cafe and working. The other part fulfilled the communal aspects that were fun while working at a coffee shop. After listening to this for a full year, I don't know how I missed the guys talking about what seems to be swordfighting or LARPing around 4:28:35. Catch something new every time.
