      I never got this joke. Maybe it's an American thing, but I liked to go to school. That's where all my friends were, and I actually cared about some of the stuff I learnt there. So I always assumed kids hating school was an invention by American cartoons.

    1. Rivers almost never diverge. River tributaries do converge towards a bigger body of water though.

      1. Rivers do diverge. The "rivers don't split" meme is one espoused by amateur geographers wanting to sound smart.

    • @InsertNameHereBoi
      @InsertNameHereBoi 5 ปีที่แล้ว +11

      @@valledafightaable I said "almost never", not "never". It's a much rarer occurrence, and usually either a river delta or man-made, the reason being that if one path is even a tiny little bit less resistant, it will keep expanding and eating up the "water traffic" of the other side.
      Occasionally, you have distributaries, which are like small offshoot streams that come off of the main stream. It's much, much rarer to have two equally large streams of water shooting off from one location, and in many instances where they do, they tend to link back up again soon afterwards.
      So yeah, forgive me for not rattling off all the nuances of the above rule of thumb statement in a dumb TH-cam comment.

  • @italixgaming915
    @italixgaming915 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    That was really funny to watch ^^ I play quite often this game but in a completely different way. Firstly, I wouldn't play a map where there are so many locations where you can't even move. I remember just one time when I guessed the right spot without moving from my starting place. So I usually play on the map World, where this type of location is rare, and my goal is clearly to get a score of 25k. Secondly, when you can move from your starting point, you play way too fast so you miss a ton of useful hints. You have no idea how useful a small information can be. I give you an example: in one of my games, there was a sign written in Spanish language that indicated a church from the 11th century. For the random player, this information is irrelevant. For a good player, it's a gold mine: you know that you are in a Spanish speaking region where a church was built in the 11th century so you can eliminate all the Spanish speaking countries but Spain and you can also eliminate most of Spain as well because there was no church in the part of Spain occupied by the Muslims at that period of history. You can also make massive advances in your research thanks to small informations that you are able to exploit from your own knowledge. An example: I was on a small road, with big olive trees so my first guess was South Italy or Spain. I found a sign in front of the house of a builder, and I found there the name of a small town that I didn't know but also an extremely useful information: "(BR)" after the name of the city, and I knew that it meant: "province of Brindisi". 5 minutes after that I had my exact location.

    • @italixgaming915
      @italixgaming915 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I will add that if you play on difficult maps, you can't waste hints. Especially when you are in Russia. You can't imagine how happy I was when I saw the name of the Yenisei river or the name of Nizhny-Novgorod on a random sign...
