The biggest drawback to owning a pair of Ray Bans Meta's is having to lug around 2 separate pair of 👓 eyeglasses to avoid prova y concerns at places of work... Man, in 2 weeks, I might wind up shocking myself by photographing stuff in obvious places that I've missed 😳 all this time w/o realizing it!
Photos and videos metadata requires location information same as you find on phones, and also since the glasses use the phone to connect to internet and the AI needs location information to provide certain responses, they require location information at all times. Meta doesn't really benefit knowing where we are rather there are way too many features which rely on location data.
I ordered straight from the Ray-Ban site because I had a prescription and believe it or not my order came in about six days, which is incredible because it shipped all the way from China. Like all prescriptions the price will vary but I ended up paying about $800 in total. But I have a HSA plan so I used that to pay. Is you have vision insurance that may be an option also.
interesting: the prescription lenses are missing the "ray ban" even if it's factory. making me believe it's not different then getting it done by another third party. SUPER easy to take out the stock lenses yourself. almost cheaper-easier to get a cheap frame/lenses combo and then move to get it don't prescription away from lenscrafters

Thank you! There is no subscription needed at all. They cost $299 plus whatever prescription you might need. I was able to use my vision insurance to cover my costs.
